Today we will be making this adorable Stationary box .
I got the idea from Dannie Graves . I thought this stationary box would be a perfect gift for my Glitter Queens attending Onstage with me at Madison WI. this week .
I made theirs with a "Birthday Theme "
So I made a bunch of them in different colors and since I have 12" x 12" 2015/17 In color card stock those are the colors I went with .
- Watermelon Wonder / Mint Macaron / Tip Top Taupe
I did make this Early Espresso version 1st before making them all for my glitter queens
Doing a test run on their gift is always a good thing to make sure it's easy to mass produce since I was short on time . ( It would be great to have at least an extra 8 hours every day to get everything done LOL! )
Here are the Birthday cards I put inside their boxes . I also stamped all their envelopes with the
- Imbringingbirthdaysback stamp # 143573
Plus the beautiful Paisleys on the front too adds a sweet touch and lets not forget the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper .
Even though I don't show you how I made the birthday cards they really are simple .
Whisper White # 100730
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper # 135315
- cut at 1" x 5 1/2"
Mint Macaron card stock #138337
- cut at 3/4" x 5 1/2"
I kept the birthday cards in the same color as the box .
Each box has a pack of gum and post it notes with a SU! pen and I even added postage stamps for mailing those birthday cards ~ Pretty clever huh? ~ No excuse to mail them now and make someone's birthday even better .
Today's video will be focused on making the stationary box . Dannie did (2) part video on her box,
I wanted to get the box made in (1) video for you . If you want me to make a video on the birthday cards let me know and I will do that when I get back home next week ( hopefully ) .
I kept the packaging pretty simple as well I cut the coordinating card stock color at
- 5" x 6" and scored in half at 2 1/2" on the 5" side
Then added the bow in the matching color 5/8" Mini Striped ribbon ( below)
- Mint Macaron # 141431
- Watermelon Wonder # 141433
- Tip Top Taupe # 141432
All items used on the boxes will be posted below but we will be making the Mint Macaron box in today's video.

Cute little box. I frequently give cards as gifts. This would be great packaging.
Posted by: Donna Wakefield | November 03, 2016 at 11:43 AM
Great idea and it holds a lot of goodies! The cards are fun too. You could make them as thank you cards and include the stamps and pen etc. for those grand kids, nieces and nephews etc. who hate to send thank you notes for their presents!

Checked out the hashtag stamp; #Imbringingbirthdaycardsback
It was inspired by Shannon West (or Janet - couldn't understand her first name in video) in January and SU then made the stamp. Planning to order it!
Thank you for sharing Dawn.

Cute! Cute! Cute! What a great idea for co-workers and holiday gifts!
Posted by: Carrie Slifka | November 06, 2016 at 01:22 PM
This is an awesome idea! I'm think it would be great with all sorts of items too. I'm thinking a small crosstitch pattern kit for the big pocket, scissors, and needles for the little pockets, and it's a sewing kit! Or different size post it note holders for those that use a lot of post it notes. As most people I know, wouldn't mail a card. I think they forgot the U.S. mail system, isn't just for junk mail and bills. Lol thanks so much for this video!
