Hi Stampers,
Today we will be making this beautiful Christmas card using the Dutch fold base .
I had posted the Dutch Fold video 1st HERE a couple years ago
but when making Patty's birthday card I shared with you all this past Monday (shown below) .
I thought I would try turning the base to the side and have it open up a totally different way and it changed the whole card
( don't you think so ?)
While at the Stamp-a-Palooza event Linda had us use the beautiful Mica Flakes # 141998 .
- I fell in love with her card and those Mica Flakes are AMAZING!
I took her card and turned it into this smaller panel for the front of my Dutch Fold Christmas card ( LOVE IT!)
Thank you Linda !
Here is Patty's birthday card .
I love this stamp set called
- Glamper Greetings # 142202
I used Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach for the base of Patty's card
Here is the Merry Mice stamp set version
I love this set too It was the 1st set I purchased when the new holiday came out and I still love it .
I was hoping to show you what I did for the single mouse stamped on the inside panels for you
in today's video but I ran out of time ( let me know if you want a video on that part below in the comments )

Dutch Fold Christmas card
Lovely card, I agree it does change the look to rotate the card's focus.

The card looks like it would be hard to do but your instructions are so clear, you make it seem easy. Thanks Dawn.

I like both ways you did the card. You are so clever. Hope your leg has healed nicely for you.

Great card Dawn I remember the first video when it was turned the other way. Sometimes it's nice to get a different perspective with a creation. For some reason I think the way you presented it today is a little more classy and appropriate for a gorgeous holiday presentation. When the card s turned the other way it looks a little more whimsical and fun. Have a great dayDawn tfs.

Love this card! Yes, what did you do to the mouse??
Posted by: Fay Marie Gardner | October 20, 2016 at 04:38 PM
Love, love, love those mouse cards! Both styles are great. A lot of pieces to the Pretty Pines dutch fold card, but worth it. The white mica flakes "makes" the card. Thanks, Dawn.

These cards are so much fun. They look like they would be hard to make but your great instructions make it seem pretty doable! I wasn't sure about the mica flakes but they sure look pretty on today's dutch fold card. Speaking of dutch fold, I live in a Dutch town here in Iowa - I think I had better give this a try and see if anyone understands why it is a dutch fold!

Love these cards . The colors are great but those mice in the merry mice set are soooo cute. I would love to see what you did with the single mouse on the inside of the card in a video . Thanks for sharing all your creative talents ...

Hey Dawn,
As always your cards are awesome, you truly are inspiring. I particularly like the card with the mice and would love to see a video on the color aspect. Die you use watercolor paper? What coloring technique do you use for blending?
Thank you!!
