Love the Pickle Ornaments..my son in law gave me one as a gift years ago. Both him and I are of German descent and it was perfect for my tree. Strange thought the legend behind the gift was something my grandparents never told us. Just in case you or your followers don't know the story, I've included it. I have mine ready to hide on Xmas Eve after every one leaves.
LEGEND OF THE CHRISTMAS PICKLE
A pickle is used as decoration on the Christmas tree seems odd at first, but it is an old German tradition. When decorating the Christmas tree, it is traditional to hang the pickle last, hidden among the branches. The first child on Christmas Day to find the Christmas pickle receives a special blessing for the year and an extra gift! Great tradition to share with your family this year and for years to come!"

Pickle ornament: “A very old Christmas eve tradition in Germany was to hide a pickle [ornament] deep in the branches of the family Christmas Tree. The parents hung the pickle last after all the other ornaments were in place. In the morning they knew the most observant child would receive an extra gift from St. Nicholas. The first adult who finds the pickle traditionally gets good luck for the whole year.”
I lived in Germany for four years and was introduced to this tradition while there. Some say it isn't a German tradition, but that's where I learned about it!! We have one for our tree too!
Enjoy this special time with your family!

Hi Dawn,
Bought one of those cutters last year & it saved my sanity (what little I have left) when I helped wrap 400 Santa's Grotto gifts! :)
Love your site, thanks for all your ideas & inspiration. Hope you & your family have a wonderful Christmas.
Love Kathy. x

Nice to see a business that is not afraid to have it's main focus on what Christmas is really about, Christ's birth!

Wow, thanks for the Celine Dion video, how beautiful, such emotion in her voice! As a regular visitor (or you could say stalker...) to your blog, I would just like to say I hope you have the very happiest Christmas, healthy, safe, blessed and a little less 'eventful' than last year! I had to laugh when I read about you purchasing the wrapping paper cutter this year and how much you liked it. I as well have seen them for years and always thought why would anyone buy that thing. This year I saw it for practically free ($1.99) and decided to get it. Wow, I love it. It made wrapping almost pleasant. Even my husband was impressed.
