Here is another birthday card I made over the weekend for my friend Trish .
I used my friend Stella MacKay swap card from Founders Circle 2010 for my inspiration with Trish's Birthday card .
I used the same stamp set which the Bird / Owl and bird cage are from the stamp set called Aviary # 120462
The "For You" Greeting is from the Elements of Style stamp set # 120045 and I used the 1" circle punch #119868 with the 1 1/4" circle punch #119861 for Trish's Birthday card.
We both used the Perfect Polka dot embossing folder # 117335 with the Big Shot #113439.
For the colors I changed them to Blushing Bride card stock #119796 But used the Early Espresso card stock# 119686 just like Stella did .
I also changed the ribbon and used the Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Polly Stitched ribbon # 119265 and adhered the Early Espesso 1/8" Taffeta ribbon # 119959 on top of the Pear Pizzazz ribbon.
I also changed the punch to the Scallop Trim border punch # 118402.
I used a piece of designer paper from the Love Birds simply Scrappin kit # 118707 layered that piece of DSP right behind the Early Espresso behind my bird and bird cage .
I also added lots of Rhinestones #119246 to the bird cage .
Thank you Stella for such a sweet swap card ( Love it )
Until later... Happy Stampin !
Love It! The Pink and Black just POPS. I checked out both - the one you got your inspiration from and yours - love the way you added the embellishment on the bottom of the cage - how realistic it looks.

Dawn, hi! 2 funny things... a demo friend referred me to your site to see the bubble technique as she might be demonstrating it at our next DL meeting for our techniques books. So I then see your version of "my" card (thanks!) and it's time for true confessions. My DL designed AND made that card for me to hand out at FC as I was undergoing chemo and radiation when it was swap making time. She knew I wasn't up to making 135 swaps so she generously offered to do it all for me so I wouldn't be left out. Is she a saint or what??!I have to give full credit to demo Sarah Wills (a Rising Star from last year) for this gorgeous card!
