Hugs Dawn!! Everything was so beautifully put, as usual! I'm with you on the "deep breath" moments but now I'm totally psyched about the color changes. I'm itching to get my Stampin Success and see the new core colors and play with the enclosed cardstock!!! Such fun! Hopefully everyone will accept the change soon and see this will really be ok afterall, lol!!!

Dawn, you don't even know me but I get so much inspiration and so many ideas from your blog. One of my first thoughts when I heard of the retiring colors was "oh no! What is Dawn going to think about the loss of her beloved purples?"

One of the best parts of the renovation though is that we get to have Crumb Cake not only in paper but in ink (and presumably) accessories as well! Yay!

I love this song! I sent the lyrics to my son right before he was to get married to a wonderful woman. It makes me cry every time I hear it! Thanks for sharing everything with us!

Hi, Dawn!
Like Kristi, I immediately thought of you when I saw all the purples that are retiring, and like Jeannie, I'm getting over the shock of the huge changes and am anxiously awaiting this month's Success mag.

Yesterday I went to SU Regionals here in Milwaukee and I must say I was so impressed with all the ladies who came from the home office. They had some honest dialog with us and validated all of our feelings about the color changes; everything from anger and dismay to thrill and excitement. I think most of us are feeling a combination of all of the above.

Of course, there was much, much more to see and do, but I wanted to add my voice to yours and all who trust our company to keep SU in the front of the pack; to make decisions that are smart business-wise and lend themselves to attracting and keeping good customers and demonstrators alike.

With the color changes in SU, now would be a good time to by reinkers for all the retiring colors.
Just a thought.

I have enjoyed sharing this exciting week with you. I want to thank you for sharing all this information on the colors.

Crumb cake sounds so much more appealing than Kraft; don't you think. Food is always better:) My son leaves for Navy boot camp in just 25 days and your thoughts on change and waiting for the right time apply to all of life; not just SU! colors. So, as you had me in the mood your Sunday share brought tears and comfort. THANKS SO MUCH. MJ

I am sad as I feel every color has it's purpose(the old and the new), sometimes you just want that certain shade of purple. I am however excited about change and new ideas. who knows maybe some of the old and new can mix together to make some great projects that might not have come up otherwise. I see it as a creative challenge not roadblock.
PS: Thanks for all the wonderful videos. :)

When I first heard of the color changes, I was like you. Breathing deeply! Now that I have had a chance to really think it through, I am excited! The colors are beautiful on how they are structured together and there are many in colors coming back that I just loved and missed. I am looking forward to showing my customers what these changes can do for them!

Beautifully put, and thank you so much for putting on the video.

I just finished a post on my blog linking up my 10 favorite scrappy bloggers and of course you made the list. I thought you should know how much you have inspired me!!

Every thing you said is so very true. As a new SU demonstrator I have had to keep reminding myself that God is in control and that He knew I would come to this point in my life. We have to keep this in the forefront of our minds in every situation.

As far as SU discontinuing items, the only thing that bothered me was that I would have to buy a lot of new stuff to share with customers, after only being a SU demo for about a month. It was discouraging to know that I wouldn't be able to use things that were discontinued. There were also items I wanted that I didn't buy because they are going to be gone. I have to keep my wants and my needs (as in, wise business choices)in check. All that to say I was initially a little flustered, but the more I thought about it I realized companies change/"improve" product all the time. It is important to stay fresh and revelent, if one is to stay in business.

Thank you so much for all you do. Your blog is one I check whenever I have time to watch videos on card making. I have been watching you for a while now. I discovered you because of my cricut. Btw. that butterfly card is absolutely gorgeous.

Sorry for the long comment.
