Hi Stampers : Happy Sunday Friends !
WOW what a week I have had .
I went to the doctor on Monday and I have cellulitis in my left leg doc gave me antibiotics and said to keep leg up .
Fast forward to Thursday .. Felt a bump on the same leg I have the cellulitus ,went back to doc cause she wanted to see it . Doc thinks it's a fluid pocket from the cellulitus BUT she wants me to keep an eye on it, if I start having pain or redness call her ASAP!
After we attended Bob Jacksons funeral we stopped in to get Jessie Reg for Cosmetology school. Jessie starts Sept 7,2010 and she is soooo excited . Plus while we were there we took a tour of the school .. The school ROCKS! Jessie will finish school with 1,500 hours in 11 months going full time . Pretty cool !
For my Sunday Share I have this video for you called The Dash .
Enjoy your Sunday friends and I will see you tomorrow
Until later.. Happy Stampin!

my brother just had cellulites on his face..it swelled up so big.he had to stay in the hospital for 3 days..now he keeps getting headaches..take good care of that leg.happy sunday

That was a beautiful video, as always! Thanks for sharing it.

My daughter started cosmetology school in Jan and absolutely loves it!! I was a bit hesitant at first, but this is what she wanted and I'm so glad I got on board. I decided the best way to show her that I was in support of her was to let her cut and color my hair. I was her first female client that was not a mannequin. She did a great job and the instructors were right there the whole time so if she had questions she could get help. I'm thrilled for your daughter. If she likes it half as much as my daughter, she'll love it!!!

Dawn, please take good care of yourself and get the rest you need. I know that Jess can be a great help so please let her help you when you need it. I know what a busy time this must be for you, but let those who love you lend a hand. I was so happy to see you put The Dash video up today. It was sent to me when my sister-in-law passed away suddenly and it was of much comfort to me and remains so over many years. I hope it will be so for you also with the loss of your friend. Thank you for this wonderful site that we all enjoy so much and for just being the sweet person that you are. Will keep you and yours in my thoughts and most of all in my prayers.

I had cellulitis in both legs a few years ago and was couch-bound for 2 solid weeks - worst I have ever felt in my life and had to go through 3 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. Glad you're getting it taken care of right away. Take care of yourself!!

Hi Dawn
My dad had cellulitis 2 years ago and was hospitalized for 10 days while it kept spreading. They finally got it under control but it was very scary. Do what that doc says because it is very serious. You will be in my thoughts and prayers! Godspeed to you

Dawn what a busy and exciting time for all of you. Keeping you in prayer for the cellulitis and your schedule. What great news about Jessie. When our chicks are happy, we are happy. The video was great too. So much to think about. Take care, rest, and keep your leg up. Hugs, Konnie

Dawn please make sure you do keep that leg up as much as you can. My mum has trouble with cellulitis and once it spreads to the blood stream its soooo dangerous. Take care and hope it all clears up soon for you!

Oh, Dawn, I had that last year and it was the worst pain except for post-op infection after my eldest was born. It took a month to get rid of the worst pain and swelling. Was on at least 4 antibiotics. "Keep your leg elevated" does not work when you have two kids in the house! If it happened again, I'd go straight to the ER. Personally, I think you should be in the hospital.
God be with you!

Hi Dawn, wonderful video. I am glad that Jessie is going on to school after she graduates. So many of our children these days are not and look what our society is turning into. You are a very good mother. About the Cellulitis...I have had it on and off for about 5 years now and it is nothing to play around with. I too have it in my legs. I am usually hospitalized with IV antibiotics when I have a flare up. I have been pretty good now for about 4 months. I think that it has something to do with what I eat. I was trying to narrow it down. I do know that if you get the tiniest little scratch you are suseptable to it. Also if you are overweight and retain water. I was put on a water pill and am still taking it. I have also had to lose weight (not an easy task), which to date I have lost 52 lbs. My Cellulitis gets so bad at times that I can hardly walk and the pain is horrible and I can hardly bear it. Dawn, you MUST do exactly what your Doctor tells you to do, or you WILL end up in the hospital, in bed on total bed rest. You should sleep with your legs elevated on a pillow or two, and when you lay on the couch or in a recliner you must always have 2 pillows under your legs. It is not enough to just put them up, you must raise them up also. Another thing that you can do, is to limit your intake of fluids, but don't stop drinking altogether. Avoid salt COMPLETELY, even in cooking. Let the others add it to thier plates at the table. I haven't had salt in years, and once you get used to it, you don't miss it.
Last Friday, I was just diagnosed with breast Cancer. It is very aggressive and has already spread to my lymph nodes, brain, left ovary, bladder and right lung. I did regular breast exams and went for my Mammogram every year. I found a lump last week Wednesday, and had a Biopsy done on Thursday, then a PET Scan done on Friday. I see the Team of Doctors tomorrow and we will see where we go from here. They have already told me that I will lose my breast during surgery, and I will also need to have Radiation and Chemotherapy. I have not felt like myself for about 5 months now, but couldn't really pinpoint why I didn't feel right. I wasn't really sick, just didn't feel good. I was tired all of the time. Now I know why. Dawn, I know that you have problems of your own, but if it is not too much to ask of you, would you please ask your Blog Followers to pray for me and send me good wishes. I could also use cards. I am feeling very low right now, all of the sunshine has been plucked out of my life. I will email you my address privately. Thank you in advance. I will pray that you mend quickly and that you do not have a repeat occurrence of this terrible infection. Sending my good wishes your way.
