Dawns Quick tip ...

  Don't we all love ALL IN THE FAMILY ??  the stamp set of course is what I am talking about .. Well I  thought I would  show  you all how I  did mine .. I  mounted all the images on their  blocks of wood (  just as usual ) But I then took it a step further  and  numbered  each stamp in  groups of 4  for example : I took these 4 stamps  and  marked  a #1 on the side of the  wood block   this number  #1 is  for  the vellum sheet I made for these images  already made up  using my  stamp a ma jig  so each stamp  I want can be  located  by  the number  on the side  and  matching it up to the  vellum sheet ...   Here are what  they all look like finished . This  set works Great with the stamp a ma jig  so I  went ahead and  did them all  for future  use if I need it .. Then all 7 small  sheets  of vellum will fit inside  the stamp set case as shown in  the next photo ... Thank you  all  who purchased this stamp set  this month  your  thoughtfulness  to want to help  the Abbott family  is sooo  awesome ..

Here is my card I made with this set .. OK girls  can you  spot me ??? Come on  you know I am the short one in  purple Hee!Hee!  how stinkin cute is  that .. we can  make personalized goodies  so  many possiblities  I tell ya .. I hand cut out  Jessie's  and my  dress   and also Rich's tie  and popped them up on  dimensionals .. I also used  cute converse ( retired )  for the saying and also the snowflake from cold  play for the  edges of my  card.  I really like the  saying Merry LITTLE Christmas .. kinda fits  with us  being on the little side , Well so to speak  Hee! Hee! .. and then theres the glitter  on us girls ..Even bowzer has a glitter collar even though you  can't see it in this photo  Boo Hoo!

The OTHER project we are making for my clubs this month .. ..

Hi Everyone : Just wanted to show you  the other project we are making this month at my  club meetings ( which my  2nd  club meeting is Tonight   in my  stampin room in Pontiac, Mi ) This project is just perfect  with the  designer paper  SPECIAL This Month (  which is Ending  tonight .. Call /email me to  get in on this awesome  special before its gone ) ..  These  6 pointed stars are  quite easy  to make I  didn't   even have to use any adhesive what so ever .. (  SIDE NOTE to My East side  club girls~  I will re- show this  at our next  club meeting  since we use  sticky  strip  and  it did not  work out  to great  I will  show you  again  BUT with out using  any adhesive this time ..Trust me it is FABULOUS!!!  )  such a super cute idea  for   adding  embellishments to  Christmas presents   or   decorating the Christmas  tree /  windows of your home ..  I also use   the ELASTIC  Silver  cord  in the  current mini ( Just love this  cord )  For My 6 point  star I used  the DASHING Designer paper , I also ran the edge of the 2 way glue pen  down the  edges of my  star  so I could add  a  little  sparkle to my  star  with dazzling diamonds .   Speaking of using  these cute stars  for  your gift wrapping ..My Uncle Doug  asked me if I would  like to  donate   something  for  this event  that he is  part of .. If you look  really  close  at this  basket I gave him  you  will see the Star  on the  outside  with the  ribbon .. pretty cute huh?Speaking of my Uncle Doug You have  got to check these  photos out of  the accident  he was in this week ..  you  can  view them HERE on my  other blog.

Cute Birthday card for a little girl ..

I  made this card last week  for a  special little  girls Birthday ( Gina's  daughter **Alayna**)  I  knew I wanted to use my  new stamp set "Time well spent " that we  got for FREE from SU!  so this is  what   The finished  card looked like ..  I was going to add more flowers to it But  settled for  a more  simpler  look on the  front .. the inside was  pretty fancy  too.. even though I didnt  get a pic of that  sorry girls ..

Cracking myself up ...

Ok  I must admit  I  do believe this has  got to be the  silliest Christmas card that I have ever made . The  weird thing  about this  card is that I seen this  in a movie Jessie and I watched the other night called

"Christmas Do over "  and OH my Jessie and I both looked at each other and  said  that would be such a cute card .. so Guess what ? TAAA DAAA  here is the card girls ..  Even  though I really do love peas .. But  its  what  it  says  when you  say the  greeting really  fast that makes me  PIMP ( Pee in my pants )  I hope you all get a chuckle out of my  creation today ..

I got  this beautiful  Christmas card  from my  friend  & Stampin Queen  Laurie .. she actually  gave me this at this months  East side  club meeting  Is this adorable or what ? She used so many of  my  favorite things .. Scallop punch , ticket punch FROSTY  for one and  also the Designer paper WINTERGREEN  and lets not  forget the dazzling diamonds  also Hee! Hee! Thank  you  so Much Laurie .. It is sooo awesome .. 

Then look what I  got  at Thanksgiving this year ( OK actually  everyone that came to Thanksgiving at her home  this year got to pick one  to take home  From Ruthie  But of course mine   is the prettiest  Hee! Hee!! ) .. This adorable Christmas  Star ornament  ( which you  can see  them all unfinished and ready to purchase HERE  BUT act quick cause these will be  gone at the end of this month  girls ) is  from my  favoritest cousin ( Ruthie )  It  sure  is a beauty  huh? Love all the sparkle  and  love the Wintergreen  DS paper .. Well it sure seems this is the hot  pack of  DS paper to use this year  huh girls . wink wink !! Thank you  both so  much  for  such these adorable  gifts ..

Baby card for Charmaine ...

Well  I  finally  got around to making this  cute baby card for  my blogger Friend Charmaine ..  She just had her baby Boy  this past week  and he is sooo cute .. Take a look at Mommy and baby  HERE. I have  used this  saying  for so many of my  baby cards I had made in  the past and thought I would make  it  for  Charmaine.  Of course  I had to add dazzling  diamonds  too :-)  Over all a very simple   card  But  really  gives new meaning to  home expansion  HUH?

Cards for the troops Sunday Showcase 11-25-07

OH my  I got  this  HUGE package in the mail a couple days ago and It was from my  friend Barb Mann and her friends ( Kay ,Toni, Joani and Pat )  and  you will never guess what was inside this HUGE BOX???  take a look .. It is holding 333 cards for the troops ..  WOWZIE  so many beautiful cards  girls .. all of them will be soo loved   by our  troops .. SO this makes the  Grand total for the cards for the troops 6,521 Oh My goodness ..  Thank you  all so much .. Ok Now on to the  show  and BOY I am showing alot of the Cards  today That I have received over the last 7 months Enjoy them all ..

Busy today ...

Hi girls  double post today .. I thought I would show you  what I have been doing today ..  Stamping  of course .. I  have been  in the Christmas mood  this weekend ..  so Today I started making  my Sunday  school kids their  gifts this year ..  The more I get  done and out of the way  the more I  can do  other things   wink wink ..    You all have  seen most of these goodies   already ( Peek a boo box, & snowman  candy  wrappers  )  BUT  not all  together in this snowman  grouping...  I just love  these snowmen ..  and it seems so much better   all together  HUH? Fun stampin time with Gina ...

2 Fridays ago   I met up   with my  bestest gal Gina  and had  a fun time  stampin  chatting and eating Subway .. YUMMY!!  we put together  a few of her stamp sets ..  which were  die cut  sets from  the mini YIPPEE! so  that made it very easy .  I did  stamp  1 card with my  new FREE set from SU!  and  then  colored in 6 cards  for Christmas .  We then  brain stormed  on  her Turkey card ( below )  Just love those Big googlie eyes .. Then it was time for lunch  ( Subway of course )  which  was  close by  thank goodness .. Since we  didn't  want to take  away to much of our time together.. Friday with Gina was alot of fun just the 2 of us  stampin and hanging out .

Hope your  Thanksgiving  was wonderful. Todays card was   the card I gave away  this morning  on  my  blog COUNTING MY BLESSINGS  I used the stamp set from the mini called STEM SILHOUETTES  ( this set will be  gone  after  this month  girls ) I used  River  Rock ink  and cardstock  with  the chocolate  chip taffeta  ribbon  and  dazzling  diamonds . This technique  is called reverse  masking . I used the coluzzle  to cut my  template out  for the   center  and then laid the  template  on the  front of my  card and  used my dauber with River Rock ink and  applied the  ink inside the  cut out template . I then stamped the images with chocolate chip ink  inside  this  template also ( But  first stamped off to make image  lighter ) .. removed the  circle  template and stamped the   same image  in  Chocolate  chip  full color .. Pretty spiffy  huh? I then  dragged the 2 way glue pen flat  tip   around the  base  card edges  and then added  dazzling  diamonds .. WOW!!

Thankful for YOU!!

I am soo Thankful for all my Stampin Queens, My Glitter Queens   & all you girls  that are  faithful to reading my  blog every day  .. You all have  been  through so Much with me I consider us all family  here ...  Gee whiz .. knee replacement  surgery , Hubby  leaving to Iraq , cards for the troops ,  and Not to mention all the little things in between   and all the   stampin things ..  You all   have  brighten my  life  with your  sweet comments of encouragement , Praise , & prayers .. I  have so Much to be thankful  for this year and  you all are at the top of my list  girls .. Star Burst Snowman Tutorial ...

Howdy  girls I wish you all a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving tomorrow !! SO  are you ready  for  the Star Burst tutorial .. 

Here is what you will need

Removeable scotch tape , sponge ,  choice of ink  and  stamp image for center .. I have already  stamped the image on to  whisper white cardstock  with Black classic  ink  and then  tear off a piece of removable tape  about  8 " or  so  you  want it  long  enough to  cover  from corner  to corner on your base card .. Remember  you  can click on  any image to make larger .. Ok lets start..

1st line your  tape  with the  center  image for the 1st burst line . Line tape  as close to your  stamped image  as possible   using the  right  sideof your tape as  your  guide to get   as close to your image  so you will  not get  ink on  the  center image BUT to create a  focal point   of the  image  you  will then  use your sponge( as shown in  photo ) and  apply  ink using the right  side as your  guide   the  whole length of the  tape. Apply   ink  lightly   since you  want a  soft  look to your star  burst .

 

next  lift off tape as shown in this photo .

Ok  the next step is to line up your tape once again  using the  center image as  your  base  you will line  up your tape line  using  the left side this time .. always making  sure  your tape line is as close as possible to your center image . apply ink  once again just like in  step 1 and then lift tape .. the great thing  about this tape is  that you  can reuse   this one piece  many many  times & it will not  ruin your  project  when you lift  it off

the  following  steps  are exactly  the same as  all the previous steps  you will just be using the  main focal image as your base line  for your  tape  just remeber   when lining up your  tape line  you  will want to  use the  side  of the tape line closest to your  image  and the  other side for  applying  the ink   Because  since this tape  is  wide   and you  want your bursts as close as possible so  your  main image  pops out at you ..

 

Seriously  the more you playwith  the position  of your tape  the more chances  are that   you will  go crazy  and keep adding  star burst lines all over .. which is  sooo awesome ..

 

Keep adding  your  tape  lines for more Star bursts  girls ..

see the star  forming  right before your eyes .. YAHOO!! keep on playing .. then once your  done  color in your  center image and TA DA  you  have a  fabulous card that everyone will ask HOW DID YOU DO THAT??I of course  I added a few  extra star bursts on my  finished card  ( below ) Just  play around you will love  it .

More cards for the troops ..

Hey girls .. More cards for the Troops arrived yesterday  OH my goodness  you all are Sooo awesome !!  A Big Thank you  to Marci Cyphert and Kerry Gresser  for their  cards .. I updated the  total WOWZIE!! Thank you all  who have  brighten our troops  lives  with your beautiful hand stamped  creations .. YOU all are sooo AWESOME !!

Time well spent ...

Howdy  girls :

I am  using my  FREE stampin Up! stamp set again I just love this set  and  the best part was  that it was ALL FREE  YIPPEE!!  Gotta love  free Rubbah .. Once again I  used the Big flower on  my  card  and  just a small part of coloring was done with my SU! Markers. Apricot Appeal  & Cameo Coral  I figured  that I would leave alot of white  showing  to add Glitter   when I was totally  finshed  with it ..  I also used  dimensionals to pop  up all the  images on my card  and small doodle dots were added the  the Apricot Appeal  strip of card stock .. Then once I finished   my card I thought I would added  more doodle dots to the  cameo coral  base card  for the flower centers .. and also  the  tiny  flowers in the  saying at the bottom .. Then added a  piece of White GG ribbon  to the left of the  Appricot appeal  strip . I just love this card .. Thanks  so much for  stopping by today and I will see you  again tomorrow .

Star Burst Snowman ...

Howdy girls .. Not to sure  what this technique  is called  I recall something about  Rediform  but its not  coming to me  anyway  so I will call it  The Star Burst just cause it looks  like a star  HUH? anyway I  will post the tutorial for this Hopefully in the  next couple of days  stay tuned ..  I used  the WISHING YOU CHEER  for the  center image Whisper white cardstock  and  Bashful  Blue ink was used  and  my SU! markers were used to color  in the snowman  and then added dazzling  diamonds ..  such a simple card  don't you agree ?

Cards for the troops sunday showcase 11-18-07

More showing off today .. BUT showing off  all your cards   not mine today  :-)   Such Beautiful cards . I am down to  about 2 boxes   left to ship out to hubby ..  It seems   he  gets  his mail alot later  since moving to   the base he is currently  at  for  some reason .. He  arrived  there the beginning of Oct  and  was  suppose to leave  and  go back  to the not  so good  base ( You know the  one  where   he walks   forever to  the bathroom / shower  and sleeps in  a tent  you remember right ?)   

on Dec 1st But  he will  wait to do that  after  he gets back from R&R ( YIPPEE)     He will also  ship all his personal things back to the  1st location before he  heads  home .. Gee whiz   he  sure is  raking up those   frequent flyer  miles .. :-)

He is actually  getting ALOT of  Frequent flyer miles   and  trying to get enough for 2  tickets  to Hawaii . Have a Fabulous day girls and Thanks  so much for sharing  your day with me  ..

Club meeting tonight ...

OH boy  tonight we will be stamping in  Warren  Michigan  with my East side stampers  ..  Sure wish you  all were  coming  cause   we always have so much FUN FUN FUN!! We will be making this card  .. Seriously  this card is sooo much more beautiful IRL . 

This is  one of my  favorite  techniques lately  Embossing resist  and  Just love my  spritzer tool  and  those icicles  that were made with Crystal  Effects ( But for club tonight  these icicles  strips  are already made up since they take  awhile to dry ) Don't worry girls I will demo  them for you  to show you how  super easy  they are to make .. Thanks  Corinne  :-)  I used  Night of navy, Certainly  celery  and whisper white card stock  with  certainly  celery  and Brocade blue classic  ink with daubers   over the   clear embossed area on  whisper white  the  SNOW wheel  was inked with  Night of navy   classic ink  and the tree and  swirls  are from the  SEASON OF JOY set  all of which are gone after this month girls .. I then added the   COLOR SPRITZER TOOL  with Night of navy marker Then finished  card off with dazzling  diamonds ..  pretty snazzy huh girls ..

Thats ME!!!

Yup that's me on this 6x6 scrapbook page .. I hardly ever   scrapbook a page of myself ..  BUT this  is on the  way to my hubby  in Iraq..

( Guess what ??? He  is turning 39 today 11-16-07 Happy Birthday  Honey Bunch )

  and he  has been asking for  lots  of photos  of me to hang on his wall .. so I  thought  this  very very simple 6x6 page would be Ok  right ?  Of course I used my  favorite color  which he already knows that  But  seemed to  match with my  shirt anyway .. so  why  not ?  I used the  THE SNOWFLAKE SPOT for my  page  and Cardstock colors are Lavender lace  & Lovely lilac with  Whisper white ,Like I said It is  really  a simple  page  No extras  added well except for the white gel pen and  dazzling  diamonds of course~~ wink wink!! I am off  to have a fun stamping  date with my  friend Gina   YAHOO!!  Not to sure how much stamping  will get done but we will TRY  right girlie ..

LOOK what I got in the mail Today ...

OH my goodness Its a FREE stamp set from SU!  YIPPEE!!  I got this AWESOME stamp set Today and  It is a Brand new the level 3 hostess  set   that will be in the   New January catalog .. Oh my I think it  took me  a whole 5 Min's to  get this baby mounted and inked up ..  and this was the  1st card I made with it .. I  thought it would be fun to   do the Crayon  resist  technique  for my  1st card . Colors I used  were  Gable Green and Pixie pink  along with  Whisper white   card stock .. and  also    the matching ink colors  as the  card stock ( Gable green and Pixie  Pink )  were used with my  daubers, I also added   certainly  celery GG ribbon .. I did  use the white gel pen to  color in the  FRIENDS part in the saying  (  I just love the saying too don't you ?)   since I didn't have any  sharp crayons to  do that  so the   white gel pen  came in handy , and  just a  ever so light  touch of dazzling  diamonds  was added to the peals  of the big flower too :-)  I just love this set   girls ..  WOW   what a day to be a  SU! Demo  cause  who doesn't like FREE rubbah  YAHOO!!

Snowman wrappers ....

Are these the  cutest or  what  I have made so many of these  and  They are super fun .Ok now for the shocking  thing about these are you  sitting  down ?? Of course you are  your reading my blog aren't you  Hee! Hee! .. These snowman wrappers use 9 punches  Can you  believe it ?

These snowmen are wrapped around the  snack  size Hershey bars or the Kit Kat candy bars ( see photo ).. If  you  would like to make your own  here is what you will need

whisper white cs  cut at 3x 3 1/2

score at 3/4 and  1 1/8 on  each  side

apply  sticky  strip

punches used are

1/4  circle punch ( eyes, and mouth )

ticket corner punch ( nose )

1 3/8 sq punch ( hat )

Corner rounder (  top of hat )

word window punch (  rim of hat )

Three for you punch ( floweron hat )

sm Tag punch ( whisper white tag )Stamps used for  small tag : Its  snow  time( Cold twigs , Warm hearts ) , and  holiday tag team ( To & From) for other side

lg tag punch ( Black tag )

1/8 hand held punch (  to  hold  tag on with linen thread )

extra  supplies needed :

Daubers  for pretty in pink  cheeks  and white gel pen for  stiching and dots for eyes  and Black marker  for  eyebrows ..

  I  useed  SU! products to make them .  These are great small gifts for  co workers ,  classmates ,  friends ,  stocking  stuffers   the list goes on and on ...

YOU all know ...

You all know I am a SU! demonstrator  and Love  everything about SU   YUP I am a faithful die hard SU! fan..BUT ( you knew that must have been coming huh?)   this card  uses NON SU  stamp sets .. I  won  this set  awhile  ago  from  Paula  as  her blog  candy  she  gave a 20.00 GC  and I picked this stamp set from Lizzie  Anne designs.. This is the  1st card I made with this set  and  I have already sent it to  Paula  for  picking me to win her  blog candy .. It is  a shadow box  card  which you  can find  the directions HERE on my  blog  under  the tutorials I have done ..  What a super easy   and fun card ,  You must all try one.  The card mails  flat  But  then  you  take it out of the envelope  and push in the  sides is sits up by it self .. pretty cute huh? I used  Pixie pink and  tempting   turquoise with Whisper white   card stock from SU!  the inside  of the window I just used my  1/2  circle punch and lined the  inside  of the   coluzzle  cut out  with all the  circles  to make the  cute border  inside  the  shadow box frame . and of course colored  all the  fun  things that go with  winter to match  with the  SU! card stock. I used  SU! markers  in Pixie pink and tempting turquoise lets  not  forget the  white gel  pen  from SU!  and of course the dazzling  diamonds ...Thanks  so much for  stopping by  today  and  Hope to  see you again tomorrow .

"YOU MAKE ME SMILE"  awardawhile ago .. you all are sooo sweet ..  you all make me smile too ..  So many friends  all over the world   You all make me smile too .. so if your reading this post consider yourself tagged with this award also ... Not sure what I am  to do  But  from Sarah's Post I guess I am to list a  few  things about myself ..

1.I love  pepperoncini juice with Tuna fish (  sooo yummy )

2.I love pepperoncini peppers with  cottage cheese ( werid  HUH)

3.Funny thing is I never liked hot things until after my knee  replacement  surgery.. My Family   now thinks  I have  really  flipped out when I eat the  peppers  and Franks Hot  sauce  with everything   (Now thats weird )I really  believe it now when they say  that your taste  buds  change every 7 years   cause this must be the reason  why ?

4.I have  lost a total of 45 lbs to date  want to lose another 20 or so .

5. I  drive   nearly  50 miles every day to take  daughter  to school / come home  Then go back  and come home once again Thats a lot of gas  HUH?

6. I love the Ford Edge truck  sooo  awesome looking .. But we paid off my  Grand Prix  a couple months ago  so I love  my car even more  cause its paid off and  We are not typically a Ford Family  More  GMC But I do like the looks of that truck

7. I  probably  eat 3  BIG pickles every day  with of course a little  pickle juice on the side ..

I know i am sooo weird  HUH? Have a fabulous night girls  and thanks for popping in ..I am off to  watch my favoritest  show   Biggest loser on  my Tivo  which  is the best part cause  I can fast forward through the  commericals  wink wink ..  And we all Gotta love that ..

Saturdays workshop with Holly ...

This past Saturday afternoon  I did  my Friend Holly's workshop  and these  were a couple of  the goodies I gave her  along with one of the M&T's we did  at  her WS . The slider  even though it has a  Reeses peanut butter  cup candy bar in this photo  I switched it  to Hot cocoa  at the last minute .. Only  because it seems to  go with her  Christmas Themed  workshop alot  better..  The  little  basket holds  York pepper mints patties  which were  covered  with the scallop punch in Real red ..   The MERRY & BRIGHT stamp set was used for  all these goodies  in this photo  along with the Dashing  designer paper .  Thanks so much for  stopping by  &  sharing a  bit of your day with me  .. OH MY !!

We have  just about a 2 weeks until the  retirement  list will be  announced ( Dec 1st ) .. Are you all excited ?  and then the REAL excitement  starts with the new   catalog  coming January 1st .. I love New Stampin goodies  and with 2 catalogs a year now  there will not be a shortage  of new things to  get .I am guessing there  will not be a HUGE retirement list  this time ( But who knows?? ) But once they are gone they will be  gone forever  so Don't let the retirement  list pass you  by  without getting the goodies you really  really  want . I thought  I would share the  2 cards I gave away  this past Friday  on my OTHER BLOG   with all of you  today ..  Hopefully you  took advantage of this set ( WISHING YOU CHEER )  when you  could  get it  for 20% off  up till Nov 3rd .. It is  truly  one of the sweetest  sets  I have .. For  some reason  when I made this snowman card It looks  sooo   3-D... I didn't  do anything   special  with the coloring , Just used the SU! markers  thats  it .. I  think it's the  small details in these  stamps  images that make them sooo stinkin  cute ... I just love this tiny snowman . look at all the glitter  Gotta love  all that too .

Remembering Our   Veterans  today ..

  Here are a couple photos of my hubby  while he  was serving  our country  in the  US Navy Seabees  for 6 years 1988-1993  . These photo were taken of him while  he was serving in Desert Storm  in 1991. ( if you  click on the  1st photo  to make larger you can see  the 8x10 photo of him and I  hanging  from the tent  frame . Boy   we were  soo  young in that photo ..) Who would have thought that after he  got out of the US Navy Seabees  he would be  in Iraq  as a Electical sub  contractor 14 years later .. God Bless all our  Veterans

** Update on Angie's Mom **

Angie's Mom is   still in the hospital  for at least 2 weeks  she is recovering   from the emergency  surgery she had Friday night   which was for a  blood clot in her  colon  and if she would have waited  another 24 hours  she could  have died especially if it moved .. She  has a  HUGE  incision  from her chest bone  pretty much all  the way down. She is  in alot of pain   But Praise God  she will be ok .. The  doctors are  trying to  get her temp down  since it was  on the high end . Angie   has  been  running on NO sleep  since  Friday  evening and   was due back home  tonight .  Then  she is off to  the  airport again at noon tomorrow  to head to Las Vegas  with her hubby  for  the next  week or so ( That is IF her  hubby doesn't ask her if she  just wants to  stay home , which I  am sure she is  exhausted  and would welcome the comfort of her own bed .. But then again  getting away  may be  Just what she needs  too )  .. Thank you all  for praying for her  Mom and her family  and  for mailing  her   your beautiful cards  she   wanted me  to send you  all a BIG Thank you!!

Sad news to share ..

I am posting this here  because I know alot of you  know my   great friend  ANGIE  and visit her site  often also .. I recieved this  email from her last night

Hey Girl :

Just wanted to tell you I'm headed to Nashville....my mom is bleeding internally and their not sure she will make it thru the night..my flight leaves at 9:15 and I'm leaving in less than an hour for the airport.

won't have access to email...I'll talk to ya when I get back home.

Look@ My NEW Stampin Tool ....

Hee! Hee! well  you all are probably  wondering how in the world  could this be a  Stampin tool RIGHT? Well  let me just say Its the best stampin tool around because  I can talk on the  phone and stamp at the same  time  Hee! Hee!  This has got to be the  best  stamping tool I  got  resently. A  headset  for your phone is a MUST  especially for us multi taskers out there .. You can see  the one I got  here  at RADIO SHACK .. But you  can find them online or in  your  electronic  stores  I am  sure just about anywhere.. Now I am ready to  chat when  ever you all are .. Give me a ring if you  want  and you  can hear how great my  new stampin tool works ....Hee! Hee! This afternoon I have a  Workshop  that is Christmas themed   gonna be so much fun at Hollys' today

Super cute treat holder ...

This  adorable treat holder is small but packs alot of  punch .. I actually made mine a  tad bit  smaller then the directions  mentions  so  you  can  have a whirl at it  also and make your own  size .. This  cute  treat holder   idea  came  from  my  stampin friend  Wendy Hawkinson  her directions will be listed at the  bottom ..

anyway  the  1st photo is  what the front looks like closed,   then  the next photo shows the side view of this  holder . I used the  scallop punch  to  circle  around the  York peppermint patty  and you  can  see that alittle better  the  the 3rd photo  when the treat holder is opened ..

I  secured  the  patty  in the center of the scallop punch out with a  mini  glue dot.I used real red , whisper white & always artichoke card stock with  always  artichoke GG ribbon   MERRY & BRIGHT stamp set with the saying  from SO MANY SAYINGS .

Yesterday was  alot of fun  meeting up  with Sharon here she is  with her  give of 236 cards for the troops  she gave me ( We surpassed the 6000 mark for Cards for the troops  girls YAHOO  so exciting ).. We  ended up eating at MR .PITA since there wasn't anything  else near by   But Mr Pita is still sooo yummy  but the  time with Sharon  was even better   Thank  Sharon  for the  double treat yesterday  girlie . It was  alot of fun! Here  she is again with her  pretty  red mustang .. Pretty  snazzy  huh?

DIRECTIONS  :

Cardstock 3 1/4 X 9 5/8 ( mine is  cut  at 2 1/2 X 9 5/8)

Score at 3, 3 3/8, 6 3/8 and 6 3/4

**note the 3 inch is the front of your box.

Punch a 1 3/8 square centered in the other end for your candy. I used the scallop punch on mine )   

Use adhesive to secure the top of  this flap so it doesn't move.

Decorate.

Flaky friends ?

Yes we all have them  thats why this  set FLAKY FRIENDS is a MUST MUST MUST for your holiday card making  I just love the  saying  that  is in this set .. Some of my  best friends are Flakes "  You have got to love that  right ? what a HOOT  that is and these snowmen  are adorable  No matter what color  markers you use on all their Fabulous accessories ..  and another MUST have  is the  TAFFETA RIBBON .OH my goodness girls ..  This ribbon ROCKS!! and I am NOT  saying that lightly  either  . From your 1st  knot  to your fancy bow  you will fall in love with this  ribbon ..  and  Just take  a look at all the colors it  come in .. The only problem ( if this is a problem ) would be  that  you will have a Hard time choosing which  color/s you want .. OK  buy all 8  shades of them then the  choosing   wont be so hard Hee! Hee!  I used chocolate on my  project  today and   This photo  just can't  not  show you how  it feels  and the  shine it has ..  HUMMMMM  maybe  thats the shine from the glitter ... Just kidding  seriously  this ribbon  is totally  awesome  girls .. Cho. chip cardstock for base  and  Regal  Rose and Pretty in Pink for  main image layers  

Speaking of flaky friends  I am meeting  with my  dearest flaky friend Sharon ( she knows I am JK  about the flaky part  right girlie? even though her last name starts with a F ... Hee! Hee! ) today for lunch   at MR.PITA on  Telegraph rd. in Southfield .. BUT we may not stay there  to eat  since   Sharon  wants to  sit and be served .. OK  maybe I do to :-) .... We will be catching up  on stamping things  and  she has a BIG  box of Cards for the troops ( over 200   I think was the last count )   she will be  giving to me  today for our troops .. PLUS I get to see her pretty fancy Mustang  again ..  Sharon and I go back  a  ways   God is sooo awesome!   Bringing    stampers together  since we may never have met  other wise ..  I actaully met Sharon  on a yahoo group I am on  and  we also met at convention   and to think we both live in Michigan  and would have never met   if we didnt  have SU! as a common link  to our  wonderful  friendship

Attack of MR Crabby Pants ...

This time he  has come out  dressing as Santa .. Don't you all love  Mr .Crabs  as  Sandy claws .. This  stamp set cracks me up  to no end ( But you already know  that don't you ? Just take a peek in my  crabby  GALLERY you will see ) ..   What would a Holiday be  without Mr.Crabby pants ?...(  aka CRAB & COMPANY)  I just can't bear the  thought ...I used  the red stickles  glitter  and  BOY I just love the  way this card  sparkles   don't you ..  I did the  Z fold card  and add   a  piece of  DASHING  DESIGNER PAPER  ( DON'T forget  buy 3 packs of designer paper   get the 4th pack of designer paper  for FREE )   I was  kinda  going  for the  tilted hat look ,But  it sure seems like it is  falling  off . Good thing I had dimensionals  to secure  the tilt in place .  Kinda makes him a  Gangster  Sandy claws HUH? Hee! Hee!  I also added  some squiggle  line doodles  around   him  and then add  some  googlie eyes ( of course )  Hey  you  do know you  can still order  MR crabs right ? Just cause he is on the dormant list doesn't mean  you can't  bring him to your home ..

Mr Crabs  sure knows how to bring cards and projects to life HUH?  LONG live  Mr Crabby pants ...Have a  Wonderful Wednesday girls !

My Hostess Book

I resently  purchased this super  cute  ON BOARD BITTY BOOK and  decided  when I  got  it I would  use it  for all my hostess's  this  upcoming year ( ya know a simple way for me to  keep track of  who gets invited to my next years Hostess  Appreciation party )   pretty  clever huh?  Hee! Hee! .. I used  the ROUND UP  simply  scrappiing  kit  for decorating it  and I just love love love how it turned out .. each Hostess will get her photo  taken at  her club night or  workshop   and  I will  design a tiny  scrapbook page to  slide inside the pages which are  3 1/4 X 3 1/4  size  such a  cute little  book , Notice  the cute  photo on the very back .. I thought it would be nice to see who all  was invited  to this past October  Hostess appreciation party .. I also added  a few  sliver  eyelets  on the  overside  album sleeve( which comes with the book  all for 9.95 +S&H and tax )with my  CROP-A-DILE (which I love ) This  book is sooo easy to  decorate  and so many things you  can use this book for .. I will be making  another  one for  my  Daughters Homecoming   again this year.. These make really nice  personal   gifts for your loved ones for the  upcoming Holidays .

Yesterday was a whirl wind  from the min my  feet hit the floor  what a  AWESOME   day ..  I will be sharing photos  of  our trip  to the  Detroit Science  Center on my  other blog " COUNTING MY BLESSINGS" this week  OH and lets not  forget  today is Thankful Tuesday  over there too  girls

Baby shower Cards ...

Yesterday  the Baby shower was  super  great .. she  got   so many  nice things  for  her new baby  which is due Dec 13th ..  anyway I thought I would share  the card  I gave her  I used  the bundle of  joy  for this card and  I used the cuttlebug  for the background with certainly  celery   Lots of eyelets  were used  and I used the Fabulous  crop-a-dile for  that ..  I made a  hanging tag that says  sweet heart ( also in this set )  and used  narrow  organdy ribbon  with a  eyelet to hold  it in place also .. Ticket punch was used  for the   center image with layers  and of course dazzling diamonds  were added  for a   sparkley  touch Hee! Hee!

The  next card is the one my  momma  made for LeighAnne  I must admit  she really out did herself on her card .. She is a natural at sewing  and  had  this material   laying around and  decided  to  use it for her  card  she is sooo S-M-A-R-T! I had the card in my hands only long  enough to take a photo of it  and  thats it .. She must make another one for  me  cause it is sooo cute  dont you agree  girlie ..
