More Halloween goodies ..

I think I may go right  down to the last minute.. I have sooo enjoyed making all kinds of  things  this  year with all my  new and  not so new  Halloween  sets ..  I seen this  super cute  idea from ANDREA and of course I had to  get my  creepy  Crawly  designer paper out  once again .. I made thesetype of goodies for my Sunday School class  and  also gave them  a coupon to Wendy's for a  frosty treat . These little treat's  are holding Candy corn .. don't you just love that sweet candy? I am going to put  all my Halloween  goodies  in a  category  . Hope you all are having a  Marvelous Monday ..  My weekend  was super busy  We had a party to go to Friday night , then Saturday was   my stampers  club night  ( both  nights were super fun fun fun) ... But what else kept me Busy was making these  goodies for my  daughters class at school .. Are these cute or  What ??  You can get the template for these super cute  peek a boo boxes  HERE   over at SCS Thanks  so much to  Brenda and her  fabulous  template .. I had to make  17  for  daughters  class mates and teachers .. OH how things were  so much simpler  when she had only one teacher .. ( Those where the  days )  Now she has  7  teachers  , 8 classmates  and 3    extra  for  HUMMM  should I say ? Ok  my  Favoritest cousin Ruthie's   kiddies ( Gabbie  & Kurtis ) But shhhh  don't tell her ok .. I   wish she  could be surprised too BUT  she  is  here everyday  checking out my blog right along with all of you .. Ok so lets not  tell  your  kiddies ok Ruthie ? wink wink ... Here  they all are laid out in a row  and I popped one open so you  could see it inside  since thats just as cute as the outside .. Inside hold  candy corn and   pumpkins..  sooo  stinkin cute .. can't wait  for Jessie  to come home and tell me what  everyone thought  of these  goodies ..

Hey speaking of Ruthie did you know she is  a twin ?  YUPPER!!   she  has  a  Identical twin sister   her name is Barbie .. and  she is in Minnesota  she is going through   Flight attendant  training  and I am sure  she is quite home sick  since she will be there until Thanksgiving.. would you like to send her  a   fun card  to cheer  her up ?  That would be  sooo  so Great if you   would ,  Just   email me  & I will  give  you her  snail mail address..  you all are the bestest !! Look what was In my mail box this week ...

Hi girls .. I have to show you all what come  this week  in my mail  box ..   How exciting   to get so many awesome goodies.. Thank you all so  very much .. You all  just made my  week..  1st on the  Mail  day share is this  Beautiful Halloween card I received from Kathi   she sent me this card  with your  check for a  couple of the retired sets I had for sale ..  Soooo cute Kathi Love it!!

  2nd  on the list is this super cute  Coffin  card  sent to me from Sally  along with   an adorable photo of her little  girl all dressed up  for Halloween ..  What a cutie  Lilly is Sally .. Thank you  so much  for the new  photo and this  cute card ..

Next is  from  my  new  friend  Jen Boyd she wrote me an email and was sooo excited about the projects we made at   my Hostess appreciation party she sent me the post it note holder she made   and also  this  adorable spider  card  with matching envelope .. OH my goodness   the saying she used inside of her spider  card I MUST GET it ... It says " Simply  to cute to take life seriously " Just  awesome  girlie .. Thank you so Much for sharing your excitement with me ..

SPOOKY ...

YUP~   I'm making  spider goodies again ..  This is one of those envelope cards that we made at my  HOSTESS APPRECIATION PARTY  and  Just had to make one  in  the spider theme :-)  Actually this has  already been sent out . This  spider  with this gorgeous web  is one  of those  sets that I will never  get rid of.  Since it retired It seems I love it more now  than ever before  Weird huh?  But seriously  this set has  so many cute images  2 spiders, a  super cute web  and  a couple  awesome greeting  stamps .. This set is called Web Wishes . I used  Black Card stock and  also the scallop punch  with Green galore , Lovely Lilac with the 1 3/8 circle  punch   to hold my  little  cute spider .  Then I added  some orange  GG ribbon ..  Stamped the  greeting and the web in  white craft ink  , Spider was colored in with Lovely Lilac, Only orange , & green galore . Can   you believe No googlie  eyes girls .. I know  I am in shock too Hee! Hee!  Such a  cute  treat holder  had to share it with  once again ..

From the Heart ...

I  finally  got around to use this velvet  ribbon ..Don't you just love it ..  This ribbon was in the Last years winter mini  and it was called  FLIRTY  .  I know  I am wee bit late  but   I thought it was the best match for this  fancy card. I also used a snip of taupe  GG ribbon  to tie the velvet  ribbon together. I used the SNOWBURST  snowflakes  for the  side image  from the current mini  . I just cut  out  the snowflake and  added  a dimensional  to  pop it up a bit .. I use  taken  with teal card stock and  ballet blue with chocolate chip, creamy Carmel & vanilla card stock. I also added a  Hodge podge hard wear piece to hold my  ribbon in place .. I used the   smaller  snowflake   on the chocolate chip layer  in Craft vanilla  ink  and lets not forget  the  ALL IN A ROW stamp set for the faux  stitch look .

Yesterday I spent  a big part of my  day brainstorming on a  Card kit  I will be putting together .. so Stay tuned for all the details on that next week .

I also have a  party  tomorrow &  My  stampers 6 club meeting is this Saturday so I am sure this weekend will fly by  as  did the  month of October .. WOW where did that go ?

Birthday Boy ...

Yesterday was Dylans  1st birthday .. Dylan is  Pastor Brad and  Robyns  little  boy .. what a  cutie  pie .. I  decided  to make this card for him. I just love this  retired SU! stamp set called " Perfect party " I turned the ice cream  cone and  scoop into a  cute little clown ..  How cute huh? I also  stamped the stars in the background  with ballet blue on the  bashful blue  card stock base and then took the  ballet blue marker and   traced around the stars .. added a few  doodles  and lets not for get the fun faces stamp set ( SU! retired )  I  dont think I will  ever sell  these  sets  I have used them   so much  , actually  these 2 sets are the  2 I grab  for the most out of  my  retired  sets I have   stashed  for me. Look what I got in the Mail ...

I got this super  cute popcorn slider /holder and a  sweet note   from my  friend  JEN... what a   wonderful  surprise to find this waiting for me in my mail box ..    I emailed her big hugs  for the goodie and she mentioned  she was laughing   when she saw the  photo of me eating pocorn  from my hostess party .. So I guess she knew I loved Popcorn, Huh girlie ?? Plus lately I have  been having a thing about my  MR spider  stamp  and I just think the spider Jen used on  her holder  is sooo cute .. Love  it girlie !!

Marker Wash Technique ...

Howdy girls : So Happy you  all stuck it out last week  with all the party photos I posted. Thank you for all your  sweet comments  and  visitng  every day .. Ok   today we are back to  my regular  posting ( if there is such a thing) . I'm still having  fun with the Halloween   season and  Yup Had to use Mr spider again ..But  I  hope  you  agree this is the  cuttest spider  you all have ever seen..  especially the purple  ones ( Ok Orchild opulence ..  And Yes the Green galore ones are  cute too right .. Dont want  any  hard feelings  and  showing  favorites  )  Hee! Hee!  I  learned this Technique  from   Pat  and her Technique  Junkie's  newsletter , OH  how I love her newsletter I have been   getting it  for a long time now  and Just love every issue ( Just wish it  come out every month :-) .So many fun projects .. When you subscribe  to her newsletter  you  will learn  awesome techniques  like this one Called Marker wash .. Hostess Appreciation PJ party Part VI

Ok we made it through  all the   fun postings  with my hostess appreciation PJ party But  this is  the last Project  we all made ..   A big Thank you  goes out again to my  bestest gal ANGIE  for her  great idea on these  super cute note  pad / grocery lists .. I knew  we all had to make one  of these too .. I   had to  think about  what  image I wanted to use  for the focal  image on top since I didnt have her  cute Butterfly that she used .. So  this is what I ended up  using  for ours .. Very  simple  and super cute project .. You could also add a magnet on the backside and attach it to your  frig if  you  would like .. I just love these  note pad covers  sooo cute ..  details  on this M&T  at the  bottom of  this post ...

Speaking of Kelsey and Gina .. here  they are with their awards   they  got at the  event ..  I am sad cause I didn't get  a photo of Carol with her award .. Sorry Carol... :-(

Here  in this photo Philly and Ronnie and everyone else that came in were to stamp their  goodie bags  with their name on it .. so they had  something to carry all their goodies home  with them . Notice the color ink we used ..HUMMM could that be Lovely lilac and laverdar lace ?? Hee! Hee!

  Here  are the girls   really thinking  about their  answers   for my  game  we played  called NEW catalog  quiz ..  which no one could use thier  catalogs  Just only  their  memory . questions  like  How many Background  stamps  are in the new catalog ??  25  girls ( lised on pages 136-138 & 118 & pg 129)..  name the new IN colors ,  what is the  product that has  420  pieces ? The pretties kit  girls ( page  188) ...  There were  10 questions in  all and we had a tie  between Gina and Philly   their prize  were  a package of  glue dots .. 

Here is a photo of Jessie and her  ice cream sundae  looks yummy huh? so many sprinkles  just makes it sooo pretty   huh?

And lastly  One more  group  photo of my  girls stampin ...  what a Blast we all had  and  what a blessing  you all are  to me .. Thanks  girls  for   being  apart of my  life  and  showing  your  stampin spirit  by wearing your PJ's  to the party .. You all are the BEST!!  Thank you   for   a wonderful year last year ...Looking  forward to  the upcoming year with you  fabulous girls ..

Hostess Appreciation PJ party Part V

Here is a really  super cute project we made .. Its an envelope bag thats holds treats  or whatever ..In  this case Its CHOCOLATE which is always good  thing right ??  YUMMY!!  I also added  some   purple   sparkly  filler inside  to jazz it up even more .. These are such  cute  small gifts for teachers, Co workers  really  anyone  .. I seen this cute  envelope   and Just knew we all had  to make these .. How adorable  don't  you think ..  and super easy to make  Just seal your   reg sized envelope  and then take your  lg tag punch and  punch inward  from  both  sides ( just one punch on each side  )    leaving  enough  space at the bottom  to create a bag   then take your  scissors  and  cut  down to the  tag punch  line  to form the handle .. I made ours  in a Christmas  Theme  since this  Holiday is fast approaching and  my girls are always looking for   simple things for their  Christmas gift giving ..  details on  the M&T  will be listed at the bottom of this post .. 

I had to share this photo of me and my Mom as  we were  waiting for  the girls to start arriving &  Jessie  took this   super funny photo of the 2 of us .. My mom is soo cute  with that  sweet face of  surprise  in her eyes  and  then I grabbed the popcorn bowl really fast  before she snapped the photo and  acted  like I was  stuffing my face with all the popcorn in the bowl .. Really I was Just acting  girls. hee! Hee!  As you can tell  the popcorn in the bowl  didn't  even touch my lips  it was a last minute  thought to grab the bowl ..  But since I  had already been eating popcorn   it shows up in my  mouth anyway .. Please click on photo to make larger and you will see what I mean .. way to funny ..  Also each girl  got a  Dixie cup   recovered  with Dashing DS paper ( which you can see  on the table   in that photo also ) Thank You ANGIE for  such a sweet idea .. Each  cup  was filled  with 3 Reese peanut butter  cups.. and also  each  girl  got  every  one of the  recently  retired  INS. sheets  that I had left over with a  coupon  book  for  the upcoming year( I just printed the coupons  out on  computer paper using  a business  card template  and used my  cutter kit  and  perforated  the  coupons  for easy tearing ... Just rolled  up all the  INS. sheets  and  the coupon page  and tied  with  ribbon ( lt blue of course )  looked like a diploma  But extra thick of course  :-) 

Then  Here is a photo  Jessie took of me posing with the stars and clouds  of  course  curlers and pink  silky  sassy cat PJ's  make this  photo  just  fabulous HUH girls?  Hee! Hee! Yea right ...

Oh my.... Still sharing   the goods  from the   Hostess PJ party ..  Hope you  all are enjoying the  photos  and projects too  girls ..  This  next project was a 2 for 1 M&T  as you can see the  post it note holder also  Holds a  Jumbo paper clip  to hold post it note holder closed , of  course  a project would not  be complete with out MR spider/man  Hee! Hee!  and  all those googlie eyes  and  dazzling diamonds too  wink wink .. My Glitter Queen Harriet  Overheard  me mention  at our last  club meeting that I needed more googlie  eyes for  the PJ party and  the very next day   at our glitter queens meeting she bought me over a  bag of googlie eyes . Thank you Harriet .. Mr  spider  just needs  those googlie  eyes   ya know ..  and since there  were so many of him stamped on this  project I  needed  at least 150 of them boogers ..  sooo he is sooo cute don't   you think  ??  details  on this M&T project are listed below ..Here is what the post it note holder looks like opened up .. It seems every year I incorporate a Post it note holder into   my hostess party  & This year  was no different .. 

  Thought  I would share   a photo of Susan  and her super  cute  Winnie the pooh bear slippers  while she was eating  her pizza  I snapped this photo of her .. 

   Here  is Susan & Harriet w/ curlers in her hair .. How cute is she .. We all laughed when she walked in  with  that cute bonnet  on it..  Hey a girl don't want to mess up her  curlers  when she is stampin ya know Hee! Hee! Wish we could do it all over again ..  I love  having my hostess party every year   and  I so love my  girls .They are the  best bunch of ladies I have  ever   known .. Thank you  girls  for brighting my life with your  wonderful friendship .. your all  the BEST!!!

Measurements   for post it note holder :

cut  cardstock at 3 1/2" X 11"

score  both ends at 5 "  then  after thats done, score again  at 5 1/2"  this will give you the  center score line between the 5"  score lines .. Hope this makes  sense .. the  center  5 1/2" score line will be  folded  in mountain  form ( peak  will be upwards ) and the  5" score lines will be  the valley fold ( peaks down ward ) .

Hostess Appreciation PJ party Part III

Ok are you feeling like you  were at my Fabulous PJ party too ? I sure wish you were  cause  we all had such a  AWESOME time ..  Did I mention  all this week through Saturday   I will be showing casing all the goodies from my party ? The next project we made  is a envelope card  I had seen on Amy's Blog  awhile ago  and Thought this would be a super  cute M&T for my  girls. This card is actually a LG opened end  envelope  Just folded in half  which makes  the  card itself ..  pretty  clever huh?  I  kept this  card pretty simple in  design  since I added a few  extra elements  to decorate it .. Just added  Dashing designer paper  and  then  used alot of my  punches .  You can  get all the details  on what  I used for this project at the  very bottom of this post girls ..  Here is what the  card looks like opened  up .  very simple  right ?  the  River rock insert with the  tiny  flowers  on the top pulls out  with a  Christmas  saying ..

And Have to share  a couple photos of my girls  making this envelope card .. Looks fun right ?  well guess what  this card is  alot of fun  to make  you have to try one yourself ..  the  1st photo  starting  from  bottom  left  is Carol   (which she  won  for  highest in  Sales  for the East siders club  this year  she got one of these  cards remember ?) then my  mom is next to her ,  the  top  right is Ronnie  and then Philly ..

The next photo  of my girls making this  card are  Gina( In purple robe  which is FABULOUS don't you think ? wink wink )  ( She won an  special  award  for  the one stampin Queen that  visits my  blog every day and  posts a comment  every day as well .. she won a  SU! pink  coffee cup ..which is on backorder  until 11-1-07 so I added a photo of her  cup in  her card   so she could see it )  then Philly  is sitting  across from Gina and then  there is my  favoritest cousin  in her  heart Jammie's ..

Hostess Appreciation PJ party Part II

Ok more goodies to share today  girls ..  gee whiz It seemed like I was uploading photos  for 2 days ..  got lots ..  this was one of the M&T's  at the event  also .. this is a  really  cute  envelope  card  ( details on this M&T project will be  at the very end..  I just love this  envelope  card.  Here it is  when it is open,  inside is  a piece cut from a regular white  paper bag and  I used adhesive on  both sides  to hold it in place .. all my girls loved this  M&T too and so will you ..

Ok girls  want to see who  won for the  cutest slippers and  cutest PJ's .. here is an up close pic of the  slippers  that won ... They belong to my   favoritest cousin Ruthie  just the  sweetest   fluffy slippers ever .. and Of course  she loves her PIG  right  Ruthie Hee! Hee! wink wink!!!

Here is the photo of the winners circle  the  cutest PJ's went to Laura ..  how cute are her pajamas.. Goes perfect with the   cloud  theme of the party HUH?  both girls  won by  everyone voting on  who they thought were the cutest  and  the  jars they are holding  were  the  jars I covered to hold the votes .. Cute  huh? Both  girls  won a  aqua painter with  10 sheets of  water colored paper.

6  girls  won for my   1/2 hour ticket  drawing.  Here is Philly  when she won.  Jessie is giving her prize to her  which was  a sheet of  dimensionals .. I set a timer for every  30 Min's starting    from 7:30 to 10:30 pm  all winners got   a sheet of dimensionals .. Which we all love those dimensionals HUH  girls?  :-)

Hostess Appreciation PJ party Part I

Ok girls  Brace yourself .. Lots of  girls  in their PJ's  and  Lots  of stamping going on ..  I have  heard  a few of  you were wondering what the Big surprise  was that was going to be announced at my event  this past Friday ..  I am sooo happy to be able to share this now .. and BOY was it  soooo tough not saying anything before the big day .. the BIG  surprise was  that  all my girls were  going to make 8 Make and takes  Plus  stamp a  bag to carry home all their goodies from  this event .. YAHOO   I  don't think I heard so many  of my  girls gasping for air  with the announcement .. Hee! Hee!  years past I only  did 2 M&T's  at my Hostess appreciation party ..  so Instead of handing out a lot of awards I thought I would reward all my  girls  with  LOTS of M&T's  and  Boy was it fun ...  We had Pizza, Popcorn and  Ice cream sundaes   YUMMY!!!   for one of the M&T's  I had them  make   this  6x6 scrapbook page( above )   and then we all  had a group photo( see that photo below )   and then I  am mailing them the photo/s  to add to their page , everyone also made this matching checkbook cover at the  same table as  the 6x6 page . ( sooo cute right ?)

Jessie  helped me cut out all the  stars  and  clouds for the back drop  for our group photo  which you  can see that from this photo I took  of the  church hall  where the event  was held ..  The  blue background are (3) $1 store  table   covers  pretty cute huh?

We also played 2 games .. This was one of them  GUESS HOW MANY BUTTONS  are inside  the stamp set box ( without opening it ) win the buttons and the stamp set inside ...  My favoritest Cousin Ruthie won  she guessed 452 and there were 454 buttons inside( Yes I counted  all of them  myself )   this  stamp set  called Cute converse... Here is Ruthie  dumping all her new buttons into her  goodie bag .

2 group photos were taken  and  I myself  do not like the 2nd  photo OF ME  as much as the  1st  sooo the 1st one is  all thats is  being  posted on my blog away .. I will say  that for the 2nd photo  I Can't believe I laid across my   girls  laps .. OH my  we laughed  so hard I was  really  crying  from laughing so hard ( Yes tears were flowing  down ).

I just got them yesterday  and  I knew I had to take photos  of her beautiful cards to show all of you ..  Thank you so much  Rita , your cards  will be loved  by our troops ... Plus  here  are a  couple more beautiful  cards for the troops  I wanted  to show off today ..

I also wanted to post a few goodies I have  recieved  from  you personally  this last week  the  1st one is  from   one of my  Glitter Queens Harriet  she sent me this  adorable  Halloween card using Haunting Halloween .. Thank you  Harriet :-)

Monkeys on Strike ...

OH my goodness  I can not stop laughing  at this card I made . I really had no  clue  where I was going to start with this set I won  as blog candy From TONI . This set is sooo stinkin cute and sooo many sayings  and cute animals   even a safari girl   and a tiny  bannana  .. Jammed packed with so many images .. But the more I played with it   this is what turned out .. As you all probably now unless your living under a  rock lately UAW  with the Big 3  auto makers  across the USA have been  going on  strike  which seems like  every other day,1st GM  then  most resently  Chrysler  and I hear Ford is coming  next .. anyway  when I finished this card it  made me think of the  stikes that are going on .. How funny huh?  so  my monkeys  are going on  strike  cause its a Jungle out there .. It  this the cutest  or what ? ..  I am still in shock I won it ..  I  dont think I ever won  a  FREE stamp set  from a fellow blogger  before and  to have it  be my  very 1st "MY Favorite Things " set YAHOO!  Since I won the  blog candy from Toni ( Thank you  so Much Toni )  & this was the  1st card I made with the set  I will be sending this  to  her as  a BIG   Thank you  for picking me to win ..

What a blast we all had last night at  my Hostess  Appreciation  PJ party . ..   I still have  to  upload all the pics  from last night  Not enough time   to  do that yet, so stay tuned for  all those FUN photos  next week  ( since tomorrow  is  Sundays   Cards for the troops  showcase )  this  will give me time to get my photos on my  computer and  share them  with you all  come  next week .. Deets on  my card  are :

Cho chip , always  artichoke  and WW card stock from SU!  and also Creamy caramel , Always  artichoke&  cho. chip   classic  ink  was used  .I also used my SU! markers to color in  my little  animals  Going  gray , creamy caramel and blush blossom. I also used the  ticket punch  with 4 brads in the corners ..  I then  cut  very thin  strips of  cho chip cardstock to  make the   sign  holders  from  the 2 monkeys hands ..  and lets not  for get the  dazzling  diamonds I added to the  tusks of the  elephant everything  stamped  is from this adorable set  called "Its a jungle out there.. Thank  you  so Much Toni..

SNEAK PEAK ...

The Big day is HERE ! So I thought since my  Hostess Appreciation party is tonight (YAHOO!) I would share a little sneak peak with you.  These are  the double pocket  cards I made to hold the   3 awards I will be handing out tonight at  my  PJ party .. OH  boy I am sooo very excited .. I can hardly  wait  for the  BIG surprise  to be  let out of the bag at the party .. NO I am not pregant .. Dont  you even think it .. ok back to the cards/ Award  holders.. I took the  awards out of the pocket  to  keep  who gets the awards a secret  of course.  I will share  those later  next week  along with all the photos of what we did  and all those  Awesome  Jammies & slippers   my girls will be wearing  tonight .  I used the  SU! cloud stencil ( retired ) for the pocket part of the cards  and  also my  retired folk star  punch for the added    whisper white stars with dazzling  diamonds  ( of course ) . I then stamped in Black ink  the   saying from  Happy Harmony set from this past sell-a-bration  ..  I totally  realize there are a few retired  goodies I used   for this project BUT hey I  wanted to keep  the  PJ  /dreaming  theme...  I also used Haunting Halloween   stamp with the stars for the  background on the bashful blue card  stock  with  white craft ink  and  then  used my white gel pen to  color the stars in. I also added a couple snips of  white GG ribbon  with a staple .  Awards will be cashed in  at the event tonight,   But they will  get to keep the card  ...

Great news  today SU! announced they will be  going  to Europe  YIPPEEE !! All my  friends  that live in  France, Germany &  the United kingdom   you all will be  getting SU!  in Mid November .. Welcome  everyone  to the SU! family. Please  stop over  at SU! global landing  web site today ..

Simple Christmas Cards...

I ended up  getting this super awesome  Hostess  set called PERFECT PRESENTATION   and the   1st image that jumped out to me to  stamp with was this adorable snowman ..  I figured  I would make a couple  Christmas cards  ( Simple  ones of course )  these actually  are on their  way to 2  very special girls in  bloggerland ..  LISA got hers yesterday( Yahoo !)   and  cant  say who the other gal is yet  cause I want her  mail day to be a surprise . I used  Bashful blue ink and  Card stock  with whisper white  and I also   took my  ruler and   drawn lines  around the focal image  and  then added  a   snip of  Lt blue  gingham  ribbon  and of course  dazzling  diamonds  too ..  the  saying PEACE is actually  for the same  hostess set as the  snowman  BUT I  cut  the  saying  from the star   so I could  easily  use  them separately  OH and the  tiny  adorable snow flake  is also from this one set  also... Sure  Hope  you started making your  Christmas  cards  by now , cause  I haven't  ... Speaking  of  the club  night  this is what  showed up on my  doorstep  Friday evening  from club night .. Look at all those Awesome goodies .. To bad I wasn't able to  keep EVERYTHING .. Now that would have been  FABULOUS!!!

Today I will  be scrambling around   and getting the last minute  things together for my Hostess appreciation party tomorrow  night .. I am sooo excited . Stay tuned for a sneak peek  tomorrow  girls ..

Are you in the Christmas Mood ?

I used my Boatloads of love  again,  This time  Christmas themed .. FUNNY HUH?  After my  friends Angie and Kelly  mentioned  yesterday  in their  comments about Christmas cards using this set, I   was thinking ( I know that could be dangerous HUH?)   HUMMM Wonder what I could do to make it  Christmasy... Well  the  1st thing that popped in my pea brain was the  tires along the  boat side ..  Or are those look out  windows  either way I just  hand drew  around the  tires  and made them into  Wreaths  TAA -DAAA add  a little bit of  red stickles glitter and  you  have a  Christmas  themed  Boat . This totally cracks me up girls ... I used my  Karen Foster snap stamps  for the  saying  which says :

" Floating by  with a Christmas  HI" 

The Creamy  Caramel  looks like River rock in this photo   But  its NOT  wish it were  cause that would mean I had some left .BOO HOO!  ( I  need to order more River  Rock ) Card base is Real red   and  I also use Always Artichoke. I also used Red GG ribbon  and the tree is  from Loads of love  set ..  I think  it turned out pretty stink'n  cute  IMHO.

Fun Day Stampin!!

  Yup you read the title right .. Yesterday I  got to stamp  a few things  with my  brand new goodies I got this past Friday from our  last club night ( I  was the hostess this past month YIPPEE!! ) Of course I fell in love with  the  Boatloads of love  when it was introduced this  year in the new catalog ..  Not to sure  why I put off  getting  for so  long  Cause I sure  do   love it   and  Of course this card will be  going to my hubby this week ..  I  used Ballet Blue  card stock ( Which I NEVER hardly use ..)  along with Black and   I also used  my watercolored paper  ..  I also used  my SU! markers  to color in my  images  and  I also did the  masking technique  for the  2 hearts in the  little boat .. AAAWWWWWW  don't you think its the cutest ?  I just love the little  puff's of  smoke  or clouds   or whatever you want to call them .. sooo stinkin cute ..  I  also added  dazzling diamonds to  the tiny  windows , puff  clouds   and  also a  touch to the  water waves  too . for a  added   small touch I  put brads on each of the corners  and while I was  adding those I thought  I would add some silver cord  around the brads and  tie in the  whole Boat / Nautical  theme ( Not to sure if  thats  the  final look  that I was  "trying" to go for But I do like how it turned out  in the end .. Oh yes the tiny   doodle dots were added with my SU!  black marker  ( You know me  and those dots .. BUT hey I didn't  use the white gel pen  Thats amazing right ?)

I can't believe it  we broke a  record  for  hitting 90 degree's yesterday here in Michigan .. WOWZIE!!  A great Boat  day  in Oct ? who would have thought ...     The weather  is about to change really fast  and get alot cooler by tomorrow, Guess  that means time for sweatshirts  (I love   Fall  temps ).

Happy Monday to ya ...

  I bought these  Jumbling  tower blocks at Walmart yesterday  for 3.88  you get 48 blocks.. ( I  know can you believe it ?) But YUP 3.88  for all 48 blocks  see the price tag  ( click to enlarge photo if you want proof ) ..  They also have  the jumble blocks in  bold  bright  colors( same price ) OK maybe not all 12 beautiful colors   but  you get the idea Hee! Hee!  I just wanted the wood  without  the color  as you  can tell from this photo .. 

  I  then proceeded  to  use my hobby knife  and cut  up my hostess set "SO MANY SAYINGS"  and  mount each one onto a  block   all by their lonesome..

Dawns Helpful HINTS:

  Mount your saying  on the Narrow / skinny side of block   as shown in photo  .. You  can leave   the  design images   with  their saying  if you like  ..I did not  because I wanted the  stars,  flowers, strips  etc.. all separated  I am using a JUMBO plastic container  and also the " SO Many Sayings"  stamp container  to hold all my images  ( See photo with both boxes ) SO MANY SAYINGS is a hostess  set level 1  and  is  suppose to be mounted  with 3 blocks  as you can see in  the 1st photo , so after I purchased the Jumbling  blocks I  had 3 blocks  left  over from this set .. DON'T worry Nothing goes to waste Right ?   Cause  in my  order  I  also   got the Festive Favorites  set  and  I wanted to split  the LARGE stamp with 3 images  up into 3 separate blocks ,  SO I  proceeded  to  cut the images  out and mount them on the block  from the "So Many Sayings " hostess set ..TA ADA!!!   Now I have  1 lg block  left over from the Festive  Friends  set  for  something else in the future What a FUN day ..  Hope this helps   someone  that loves all those saying in the hostess set  and  wants to do what I did ..  P.S  Thanks Debby for  sharing  about  your blocks .. Stamping Friends are the best !!! so now  with 34 blocks  gone  I still have 14 left for  something else  later .. HUMMMM Wonder what  is coming in  the new  Catalog  to be released  in January 2008 that I can  split up  wink wink .. stay tuned !!

Cards for the Troops sunday showcase..

Happy Sunday girls .. Thought I would share more of the  cards I have  received over the last  7 months or sooo.. I hope your enjoying   the Sunday showcase of these beautiful cards that you all have made  for our troops ... 

  Yesterday  I had to wash my  car  since  My favoritest cousin Ruthie's  hubby ( Kirk)  was   teasing   me about  how dirty  my  wheels were on my car ...  so  I  washed my car yesterday and  for proof   I  took these photos .. ( looks good right Kirk ?)  I just had to take photos  cause who knows it  may snow ( God I hope It doesnt  snow  yet !!!)    in Michigan  by Monday  and  he wouldn't  believe me  Hee! Hee!

This lovely package of  special goodies arrived  to my mail box this week  from Mary Rager . Just look at all those  fabulous things  she sent me .. Thank you  so Much Mary ..  Inside  was  4 Hand stamped  cards , a  Genie  bag ,   A Fairy  sticker sheet  and  a  sticker sheet of Crosses .. OH   Thank you  so Much Mary  for your sweet gift girlie ..

Another Great mail day this week  when  My blogger friend Nancy sent this  beauty.. OH my look at the  purple ..  How  did  she know  that was my favorite color HUMMM  wink wink ..  she  is soo sweet to send me this Thank you note for   the  RAKS I sent  her  for  Jens  monthly  Rak  group this past August ..  I sent her  something every day  for 10 days..  to my  surprise   she didnt  get them in order as I sent them  since  she lives in Canada.  Some days  she  got 1  item  and  a couple other days she  got  a few items  My hope was  that  each day there would have been something  in her mail box , But  anyway It was syuper fun to shower  her with  a bunch of goodies  for 10 days ..  Thank you sweetie   for your beautiful RAK ..

Then Yesterday  I got this  beautiful Angel RAK  from KELLY  Oh my  what a wonderful surprise .. She Must have  been  pretty  busy stampin   cause she sent  a  lot of RAKS  out to us Angels. Thank you  so Much Kelly    Its sooo Beautiful!

File folder card Halloween style ...

Hey   what do you think of my  file folder card ?  BEATE'S Has a Great tutorial  on her Blog  for these file folder cards  you have to make one .. you  will love it .. It took a  couple trys  for me to make  this ( My  1st one )   But  once you get it   a light bulb  goes off ..I am sooo excited to make   more  now ..  You all know how I  am with  different  style of  card making and this one is a keeper   .. I used  Black , only orange ( tag ) and More Mustard(  card insert )   card stock with whipser white  and   creepy crawly  DS paper  ( again )   Hey did you notice  I didnt use Mr.  Spider ? since I  figured you all may like to see another image  from the booglie eyes  set  so I picked the ghost.. ( he is sooo cute  too  dont you think ?) I also used the scallop  punbch  for my  ghost and orange and Black GG ribbon  with  dazzling diamonds   also ..  Here is what the insert looks like  when  you  take it out   I  used the  stars and the   Haunting halloween  stamps  from the Haunting halloween set. for my  tab I used   my white gel pen to  color in the stars  along with the  round tab  punch . The  faux  stiching is from ALL IN A ROW   set .

This Past Monday I recieved   My Blog  candy win from LISA .. OH my   I knew exactly  what I was going to do with these beauties  If I  won ( YAHOO!!! I DID win ) These fabulous 5 cards are already packaged up  and heading  to Iraq  for my hubby to hand out  to the troops  over there .. Thank you  so much Lisa.. I also got  another wonderful   package  from a  Awesome stamper  Mary  this week  and a Lovely  RAK from Nancy , which I will share  those goodies with you tomorrow  Stay tuned ..

Yesterday Jessie  brought home from school the paper work to order her Class ring ..OH MY GOODNESS  they sure have come a long way baby in this department  since I graduated   back in  1985 (  I only had 1 style that was it ) ..  They are all soo beautiful  and of course Very Pricey ..  so  I guess we have a week to decide  what  style , stone and  engraving she wants on her ring .. OH NO .. My poor check book ..

DOUBLE Post today girls ..

Hey .. Guess who loves  corn on the cob too ??? It's Bowzer of course Hee! Hee! Today my  Mom  brought us over  some  really  yummy  corn on the cob  and  after Jessie and I ate what we wanted  Bowzer seemed to be  wanting to have a  piece too :-)  so here he is  in all his glory " eating his piece of Corn on the cob .. How funny is that .. Now I really think I have seen it all  .. well until the next   time  anyway ..Bowzer does not  normally eat people food  But  who would have thought  he would have actually  eaten it .. Silly DOG!!

Update on Hubby :

Today he has finally  arrived  to his next  base he will be at  until  at least  Dec 1st ( Jessie's B- Day )  Great news  He has  his own room  with adjoining  wet bathroom  ( which means   him and his  next door  neighbor in the same trailer  has  a  shower and  a toilet, and sink of their very own .. ) Much better than  walking   3/4's of a mile to use   the bathroom   as before  YIPPEE!! He said his room is HUGE  and  he has  his own twin size bed ,  dresser draws , night stand with a light  , Full  size desk  and walk in  closet ..  NO phone  But he  will be letting me know if he  has Internet  in his room  YAHOO!!  OH one other   Top priority news He  ate at Pizza Hut on the base .. He said he is living like a Rock  Star .. How  cool is that ..  I   really and truly  know this was  an  answer  to Prayer ..  Praise God!!!  Thank you all for your prayers ..He has been stuck in Baghdad  for the last 4 days  and finally  got a charter flight out  last night  and arrived  today  some time( our time ) ..  I am  just soo happy  for him and Praising God  for  all  HE ( God )   is doing  .. He is  also using Rich to witness to many of the  Muslim( sp?)  workers there  and telling  them all about Jesus and HIS love for them . I know  we  are not to be prideful But  girls I am sooo very proud of my hubby  to  see  him  working  for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ   during this  tough  time being apart from each other .. God has  many Plans for all of us   we just have to be still long  enough  to listen ..

A  side  note from Home base ... 

I have the  sewer  Guy coming tomorrow  seems  the tree  roots (  neighbors lovely  tree ) are  getting in the way of my drains  once again (  a procedure  we do every 6 months or soo )  and  water is backing up in my  basement  so   the   drain guy  is coming  and praising God for  that too .. know why ?  cause I seen it before my basement  was  overflowing in a pool of water . .. Thank you Lord !

I am off to get  things  moved for tomorrow  for the  drain cleaning  guy   and then I will be sitting  in front of my  TV watching  one of my  most favoritest shows CSI.. ( YIPPEE!! )

Hey... Who has a red Nose ? ITS NOT ME!!

I  thought I would   try  the  cute tutorial mt  Sweet Friend   CORINNE  did  for us on her blog  after  she returned from SU! regionals ...OH how I love this  little punch  for making  the  circle (  SOOO Stinkin  clever who ever thought of it .. Just love it ) .. How   simple  and  cute is this reindeer  Card ?  I  also  thought I would add  a little  red glitter  with my stickles  glitter  tube . I think this card is pretty  straight  forward so I will  just say I used the DASHING designer paper  along with  Old Olive  & river rock card stock  colored my  reindeer in with   my   SU! creamy  caramel  marker  . Not sure if you can see  from this photo( just click on  the image to make larger)   that I added  the red nose  and  red   glitter doodle  dots  on  the reindeer backs & on the background   designer paper  tiny  red glitter dots were added by yours truly . .  in this next photo  you can see what the card looks like opened  up . Pretty cute huh?

  I also had to make  one of those   Super cute  paper clip/  blinder clips ( whatever you want to call them thingy's ) My Bestest  Gal ANGIE  showed us  with her tutorial .. (  you  did see that in the  1st photo right ?   you were  wondering  what that was  HUH?)   Just a  a side NOTE  the ribbon  makes   the clip  tighter  so it will hold a  card / photo/ 6x6 page  etc...  what a FABULOUS  idea girlie ...  Thanks  so much for sharing  these awesome tips with us and making  awesome tutorials girls..

Note pads and Great Wolf Lodge photos ..

I thought I would share  with you all the  2  very  simple note pads I made for my  Glitter Queens  this past Saturday .. I  actually  made these  1/2 hour before the meeting was to start  and  wanted something  that wouldn't  be  to busy  But  yet  really  cute  so I  busted out   my PICK A PETAL set  and  went to town .. I thought  these would be cute for them to  take  notes  on  things we went over  .. Highlighting one of the  sections in the catalog at this meeting was all the different kinds of  adhesives  we  have  .. Anyway  I  also used  Cameo Coral card stock  with  the same ink color  for the petals  and  certainly celery  for the  center's  of the flowers .. background was  highlighted  with my white gel pen .. tied shut with  some  retired  organdy ribbon I had  left over from the last retirement .. ( Ivory )  Can  you believe it NO glitter added .. Really not  sure why I didn't add any ~  maybe  cause I  was  just  trying to get them  finished  before  11:00 am  rolled around . ( which I did ) WHEW!!!

Next I wanted to share a couple photos of  the trip Jessie had  with my favoritest Cousin ( Ruthie ) to GREAT WOLF LODGE WOWZIE   I am sooo excited now more than  ever  to  go  there with our Church youth  group  In December  possibly..   sooo much fun .. Jessie  talked a mile a minute  about everything  she did and saw  there .   The Lodge is sooo beautiful  which I am  sure this photo  doesn't do it Justice .. and here is a photo of the  water park   ( which is INSIDE this awesome  Lodge )  Which This photo  does NOT capture  everything either .. Jessie's favorite slide was the GREEN slide  she  said it went sooo  fast  Gabbie  flew off the tube Hee! Hee! One other  cute  note Jessie and Gabbie were  going  down one of the many slides there and the  girl that was at the top  told Gabbie  Not to get in the tube  1st  But  to let her  MOM  get in 1st  Gabbie looked at her and said she isn't my mom she is my  cousin...  How funny  is that ?   Ok next photo .. This one is soo sweet  of the 2  cutie pie girls ..  Gabbie( Ruthie's Daughter ) got a  G.W.L  T~ shirt  and in this photo Jessie and her were coloring  her shirt ..  How cute is that ? One thing  Jessie and I  are alot alike in  that we  Love to color ..  Ok  OOPS I have one more to show  of   the Birthday boy Kutis ( 5 )  the whole reason they were going  to GWL in the  1st place ..  Here he is ..   Kurtis is  melting  the girls hearts with those Big blue eyes.. Thank you  so Much Ruthie   for   inviting Jessie to go  with you all  on this special  vacation .. One  vacation Jessie will never  forget ... Thanks  for everything  my favoritest  Cousin  Wink Wink ..  Jessie & I  can't wait to get the waterproof camera photos back those  should be  super  Great!!

Glitter Queens Meeting this past Saturday ..

Hi girls :

  Our Glitter Queens  meeting was alot of fun  and we were  stampin the time away .. I  knew I wanted to  do at least 2 M&T's  since it was soo long  since I held one . Sad to say but it  was nearly 1 year ago since our last get  together ( Bad Dawn I know  HUH?) .. Anyway .. We all made this cute Christmas card  which I cased  from  ANDREA. Our 2nd M&T was centered around  the Manila folder tag book we are seeing everywhere . I used  1/2  of  the folder  to make  this smaller  version    Here is what  that looks like finished .  I just think these are the cutest thing   Here are our  shoebox swaps  from our meeting ..

1st is Harriet's card she used  the  spooky  skyline  jumbo wheel and the  Home is where the  Haunt is .. along with  chocolate chip  and pumpkin pie  Cards  stock and the  creepy  crawly  designer paper .  she also  added  Hodge  podge hard wear  buckle  and  mustard  GG ribbon

Here is my moms   shoe box swap .. she  used the  baroque Motifs  set along with the happy Birthday saying from the Voila' Set  . We used  bashful blue  Cardstock  with Night  of Navy classic ink with the dauber . both cards used  Dazzling diamonds  of  course  cause it  is  by all means a GLITTER queens  meeting ya know  Hee! Hee!

Lastly here is my  shoe box swap card .. I used the  season of Joy  set  with river rock  cardstock and  the DASHING  designer paper  with of course the  white  gel pen ..    For the Ink I used was  Always artichoke ( tree)  and River  rock  and Real red . Our glitter queens meeting was  alot of fun ..  and sooo sorry  a few of my  girls  couldn't make the meeting .. There is  always next time .

Club meetings this September ...

This  card  was our Other Club project for the month of  Sept .. Don't you just love  Gate  cards ? I  was sooo excited about  doing this card   Not only  cause  we got to use Mr Spider  again  and those googlie eyes .. But I just love this  type of  fold   I used  Groovy Guava  and Black  Card stock  along with whisper white  and  the new  double stitched  Groovy  Guava  ribbon ( Love that )  We also added  glitter to  the  2 spiders  on  club night BUT  this  sample does not reflect that sorry .. ( It is soo much better with glitter ) Wink wink . This was also my  1st draft in making the card  before  our actual meetings so I stamped the inside with  the  web wishes  greetings .. ( retired )   What a Great Bunch of  fun girls we have at our club meetings ..  Never a dull moment thats  for sure .. sometimes  I  laugh  so Hard I think I may PIMP's ( pee in my pants )    Our East side club  was on the 21st of September   and Our  Stampers club 6  was  this past Friday night . Susan was not able to make  it to  our  Stampers club meeting this month ..  HI Susan we miss you !!! Have a Great Monday girls  and thanks  for popping in
