Hi girls : I just wanted to share with you all what I cased from my friend Ann Marie Miruzzi She sent her cards in for our troops and well I must say when I was hand counting them before packaging them up again to send to Rich I seen Her MR Crabby pants card ( you all know me and Mr Crabs ) and snapped a photo of it before it went on its way to My hubby in Iraq , and I just knew I had to case it one day cause her Mr Crabs card is way to cute , and well the time Has come to share what I Cased .. For my Card I couldn't TOTALLY case everything even right down to the stamp set she used ( Even though I was tempted to Hee! Hee! ) SOOOOO I grabbed my 2nd favorite Little Guy From the Unfrogettable set and made mine .. I am sure you will all agree Ann Marie's MR Crabby pants is much better , But Mr Frog still turned out cute ..
Thank you Ann Marie for the inspiration for this faux grid card
Here is what I did :
I used my ruler and pencil and hand drawn lines on whisper white every inch . so for my 4" X 5" piece of whisper white I marked in pencil at 1" , 2", 3" and then flipped to the 5" side and marked at 1" , 2", 3" & 4" Once I had the lines drawn, I stamped all my images in black in all over . Then I erased all the lines that the images covered and then went over the pencil lines with my black marker without going into /over the stamped images .. I then used my SU! markers to color in the images and a few squares and then added doodles .. Thats it ..
Not sure if this is what she did But thats what I did to achieve this faux Grid look .. Thanks again Ann Marie for this cute card I am sure it is heading back to the states as I write this post to one lucky family from their loved one over in Iraq ..
I am off to get ready for PT this morning ..
Until later ... Happy Stampin!
BOTH those cards are fantastic! I haven't done a grid card yet but you made it sound sooooooooooo easy!

HOLY MOLEY!!! This is a first for me.....having my art work on a BLOG!! Thanks Dawn for showcasing a card of mine. I belong to Technique Junkies and this was a technique we learned. You can go to www.patstamps.com and see some fun stuff. Thanks again for making my day! It's been busy lately with school coming to an end ~ it is always difficult for me to say good bye to our 8th graders! Thanks again for putting me back on Cloud Nine!!!!

P.S.
PLEASE PRAY for me to find a sitter...a good sitter for my 7 & 8 yr old girls. I have to take them to work with me and that is not fun for them. We're taking crafts, but ya know...my mom got a full-time job for summer so I have nobody. :(
