OH My another great mail day ... I received D Sparks cards ..YAHOO! so many Great cards .. Thank you so Much D!!
So are you all enjoying the samples I have been sharing from everyones cards they sent in .. every single card I recieved is soooo beautiful . My hubby's portable Hallmark store over there will be better than any Hallmark store here in the US thats for sure .. Thank you everyone .. Its not to late to join in you have until May 1st to get in on the blog candy give a way BUT I will be accepting cards for troops all year long since I will be doing lots of mailing to hubby so Keep them coming ..
I also received some cards from my Momma yesterday .. Seems she was in a cleaning mood this past weekend and is cleaning out her back bedroom for me to sleep there in case I need to after my knee surgery .. she is the Bestest Mom .. Richard called yesterday out of the blue .. That was awesome .. Richard still has not received any mail That I have sent yet ..But Wednesday and Thursday Jessie and I started to receive His mail so I hope he starts getting our mail even though it seems like we talk about everything that we write each other Its just something about getting a card/ letter in the mail KWIM? Rich sent Jessie some money he had got over there and she was sooo excited about it and couldn't wait to show everyone at Church and at school what her dad sent her .. money exchange over there seems to be $3.56 Iraq to $1.00 US Thats if I remember right since Jessie took the letter so Fast and I have no clue where it is .. But thats what I remember of it anyway ..Rich had been working nights over there now ( his thoughts was that he wanted to be up when me and Jessie are up and and about with our day too .. so sweet ) Rich told me he was on call all night Monday because a Marine Corp was Hit with a IED bomb right out side his Base gate and Rich said he was on stand by all night at the hospital for the doctors with the generators , lights etc.. Just in case anything went out during the time to help this Marine .. The Marine corp was alive when Rich left his shift But lost both his legs and they were getting ready to fly this Marine to Germany Once they got him stable .. Just Terrible I tell ya what these men and women are facing every day over there .. I think this is why I am SO excited about getting these cards over there for all of them .. Such a small piece of home and for a Brief moment to let them forget whats happening over there Ya know ? I also made a few more cards for the HUGE bunch to go I made a few of these Lady Bug cards last night .. Kinda reminds me of my Honey Shadow box I think so But of course with lady bugs .. Funny thing Rich has always called me HIS LADY!! so maybe that was the base of my Creativity with this card idea I don't know.. I Sure Am Missing him !!
The Lady Bug Card I used the all wrapped up stamp set for the Jar and the Lady bugs came in the All wrapped up accessories .. Can you see the tiny small Red stickles glitter dots ..( wow say that 10 times fast ) I even touched a small dot on the lady bugs backs too .. I used my Karen Foster snap stamps for the "I love my Lady " I also cut out the lid and propped it up against the jar and added a red gingham bow.. Pretty simple card really adding the glitter dots with the stickles was the trickiest since I didn't want to squeeze to much out and get a Big BLOB KWIM?
Things that make you go HUMMMMMM
Why is it Vanilla Ice cream white when Vanilla extract is Brown ?? HUMMMM
Why is Charlie short for Charles when they both have the same number of letters ?? HUMMMMMM
Have a Fantastic Friday !!

E-mail overseas is interesting! When my DH was deployed I was so excited to be able to keep in contact with him (because when we were first married, it was snail, and I do mean sssnnnaaaiiillll, mail or nothing) I quickly learned that the e-mails don't come and go in any particular order, certainly not consecutive! Made for some interesting conversations.......

You sure do have lots and lots of cards to send - so glad. Those soldiers deserve anything we can do for them.
