Every Tuesday I have Toot your horn Tuesday for my Glitter Queens ( DL) and well I thought it would be a fun time to have you all toot your horn today ...
I will go 1st cause I have alot to toot about
the 1st photo of todays upload is from my Saturdays stamping escapades I wanted to try the layers of the little lions face that I have seen so many do on SCS ( thanks girls ) I did the rock & roll technique for the main body and then stamped the face part twice and cut out and applied with dimensionals .. I had to use my weathered BG stamp ( I really love this BG and knew I would once I used Carols
YAHOO!! Look Carol I got my own .. Now moving onto yesterday BIG adventure .. I went to the dentist BUT bad news I couldnt get my teeeth cleaned due to the fact I wasnt given antibiotics ( sp?) you see since I have a total knee replacement on my right knee last Nov I have to take these 4 pills to help prevent infection in my new knee so I had to re-schedule for this upcoming FRI Bummer
.. Then I was off to see what they could do about my funny nosies in my car
and the guy was going to charge me 35.00 to look at it and then another 45.00 to take the remote starter out .. so needless to say we are heading back to the guy that installed it in the 1st place and Hubby will be going out there today at 4:30.. with all that said ..
Look what else I got to do yesterday
I headed off to Joanns with my 50% off coupon in hand and I got my Huge scallop punch YAHOO! so with a 10.00 savings I also had to pick up a few little things ..
When I got home I had to use my new 3" punch, got ready to stamp Then I got to thinking what Should I stamp HUMMMMM I figured I would re-create the lion card I made from Saturday for starters
Heres my Saturdays Card re- created from yesterdays stampin time .. Love that new scallop PUNCH this thing is soooo HUGE!! almost as big as the card itself ..
So here is where your toot comes in to play today .. I am giving away FREE goodies on my blog today BUT there are rules to my give away

1st rule you must post a comment on my blog today up until 10 PM tonight Eastern time zone NO email comments for this one girls Post right below this blog posting where it says comments once you enter your comment and info Like email, URL and your name >( lets not forget that part Please ) then submit ,once you submit you will be asked to enter a group of letter/ numbers that are shown in a box enter those and then submit .. Thats easy enough right .. Ok #2 rule Only 1 post from you will count for this drawing today , The winners will be choosen by a number scale Daughter will be picking the numbers for my winners .. #3 rule this is the Posting requirement part : Your Toot today must be about something stamping related that you Did within this past week .( examples could be : What your favorite product you used this week , why you love stamping , a new techinuqe you tried , a stampin friend came over for stampin fun , a stampin event you attended, Hint! Hint! > My blog ( this would also count But you have to tell me what you Love about my blog ( stampin related remember ) Ok finally whats the prizes ?? I was going to give out all the goodies to one person BUT NOpe I wanted to spread the wealth ( so to speak ) so here is what the winners will recieve from me ( Prizes will go out Wednesday morning ) you will recieve my card of the little lion with my new scallop punch along with 1 of the following goodies .. package of rub- ons, OR Metal Dots, OR Bubble buttons .. here is a photo of the Prize goodies

Hi Dawn, I just love visiting your blog every morning. Your cards are always a joy to look at. I'm going to use my 50% coupon on one of those punches! I made some Christmas cards yesterday using my Coluzzle (love the Coluzzle). I think they came out pretty good. There were 3 layers so I had to line it up each time. Ok, getting dressed, going after that punch.
Thanks Dawn, keep up the good work. Stampingly, Rita

Hi Dawn,
I too chek out your blog first thing in the morning. You are sooo talented. I just love the card today. I have been considering the scallop punches and now I just might have to take the plunge as well as getting this set!!! I am addicted to my Designer Label Tag Punch Box. I have been using that punch on everything.....woo hoo!! I will also be stamping with a bunch of friends on Saturday and I cannot wait, maybe I will let them use my new scallop punch that you "enabled" me to get.
Thanks for the great blog Dawn, I love it!!!

Hi Dawn,
I love reading your blog everyday!! I love your ideas! My stamping accomplishment for the week was helping my sister design some cards using the giraffe from Wild About You. We stamped him in close to cocoa and punched out some of his spots. Then we mounted him on bordering blue. He looks so cute. She is going to use these cards to send pictures of her 9-month old son to friends.
Thanks for your inspiration.

I just love reading your blog each day and seeing your amazing creations. I, too, have RA, but mine is currently in remission, so I marvel doubly at what all you get done. As for stamping things done this week, I'm a brand new SU demo...does that count? And, I handed out my first catalog to a potential customer this week! :)
Have a great day Dawn! I wish I had a good Joanne's near me, but mine doesn't stock very many paper crafting goodies...

I especially enjoyed your recent tutorial for those fabulous shadow box cards that you've been making. I'm hoping to try one this weekend! Your blog is one that I try to check daily. This is FUN, Dawn! I do a similiar giveaway on my blog from time to time (it's also connected to my comments - when I reach a certain number I do a RAK to the commenter. No one knows who it will be but me, so that's what makes it fun!)
I went to a stamp class last night a made three different cards, which I will be posting to my blog over the next few days. I have decided that I'm on a quest to add to my collection of SU background stamps -there's so many that I want right now! Love them!
BTW, I actually found your blog through SCS and will be adding it to my FAVS. And your Wild About You cards are simply adorable. Don't have that set yet, but it's on my list! Have a great day!

I am hosting a couple of Holiday cardfront swaps so have been working on them this week. I also have met with 3 hostesses this week who all want workshops at the end of October.

Love all those cards. You do such a great job. I love the lion card today. I don't have the 3" scolloped circle punch. I guess I'll have to buy or maybe put it on my birthday wish list. DH has asked for it, the wish list that is.

Dawn, you're such a sweetheart! It brings a smile each day to come and check your blog. You have such talent with your cards, and you're a great storyteller. Hmmm, tooting time...I wrote my 2nd tutorial over at my blog, so that was exciting and challenging. I made my first waterfall card all on my own yesterday, I also made my first stepper box. It's been a good stampin' week so far, and it's not even Wednesday!

It's always my intention to check your blog first thing in the morning when I get into the office, but that doesn't always happen. Sometimes I have to wait until lunch time and the suspense just kills me to wait to see what you've posted for the day.
My sister is turning 30 this Saturday, Sept 30th, and my goal was to send her a different card everyday this week, but between homework supervising with both the kids, teaching cathecism, daughter joining brownies, new puppy, working full time, I just haven't been able to meet that goal. Although, I did manage to make her a card last night using my new horizontal slot punch, pre-cut frogs w/googly eyes, pre-cut flowers, dtp techinque on really rust cs (matches our hair color). Now I'm just not sure if I should send it now or wait for her actual birthday cause I don't know if I'll have time to squeeze in making anymore cards this week before her special 30th day.
Email: CtBigRedDog66@aol.com
P.S. I was also inspired driving home the other day a different route by a white picket corner fence and flowers. The possible ideas are endless, just have to put my vision to stampin' cs!

I love love love your blog!! I've been stalking those scallop punches and have yet to find them in my po-dunk little town. I absolutely must have some especially since you posted this most adorable card....I'm planning on getting Wild About You as my next free Consistency Counts set!! Tell us, which scallop punch must we have first? Then listed the rest we must have--kind of like a command, k? That way when my dh questions me, I can tell him I was just following directions! You're awesome!! Keep those great ideas rolling! :) Jane

Reading Dawn's Blog is like Lake Wobegon--it is that down home fuzzy feeling where you know everyone. It is a real upper. Even when Dawn doesn't feel well or has car trouble, there is always something positive. I love Dawn's stamping most of all. Such an inspiration. I am jealous of her stamp room though!! She does have one awesome hubby for all his talents too. Hey Jesse, can we have a sleepover in your cooooool new room? I have been working on my bottle swap for the Angels group this week and like what I did for that. If I told you now then I would have to do something drastic. I will share later. I am taking a class at my local stamp store tomorrow night using the die cut machine called the Wizard--made by Spellbinders. It is fun. Maybe a SU future product?!?!? I too have always loved those scallop punches but never got them because they are not SU. I am probably going to have to say the heck with that and jump on the bandwagon. We may have to start a scallop punch yahoo group!

Dawn, the cards are adorable!! My new stamping adventure for the week came when I *finally* bought a copy of Tim Holtz's Altered Journey DVD and watched it over the weekend. (Some parts I've already watched multiple times!) I've started playing with the alcohol inks and distressing techniques he demonstrated in the DVD and I absolutely LOVE the results! I'm also amused that his stamps are even messier than mine! Hee! Love your blog -- it's the first one I check everyday! Thanks for sharing all your fabulous projects!

Dawn,
I could not live without your blog! You keep me so inspired! I can't wait to get up each morning to see what beautiful creations you have made. The wild about you set has been on my wish list for sometime. I have this scalloped punch. Now I just need sometime to play with it. Ok, now time to toot..... I held my last class for the Light Heart champaign last night and am happy to report that I sold 30 Light Heart stamp sets!. That means SU! dontaed $60 and I personally donated $60. I'm honored that I could take part in the fight against heart disease.

I had stamped a thinking of you card for a very special friend this week. He totally loved it. That's my toot for today. I will definitely have to visit your blog every morning to get my dose of Dawn's creations.

Hi Dawn, I came across your blog from a comment you left on Taylored Expressions. Wow I love all your creations they are absolutely amazing, you will be added to the favorites and I will be back at least daily!! As for stamping myself, I am working on altered address books for gifts using the Joseph's coat technique to make new covers. Last weekend I went to a technique's workshop where we learned 12 new stamping techniques, it was awesome, now I have to get all the supplies to do them all. I fell in love with "In the Wild" as soon as the catalogue came out and purchases it right away, but by far the best card I have seen is the awesome lion card with the scalop punch, I'm gonna have to get me one of those real soon !! Dawn,
The cards are cute. I posted something on your blog this morning but it does not show up now so I am doing it again. I started my Baby First scrapbook for the girl in my office last night. I got 6 pages done 14 more to go. I want to finish it by tomorrow so I can start on my swaps for the Christmas swap and for regional. I also am having a jewerly party and I am going to make the invites for it. I am going to make up a quick card for anyone who wants to stay after the jewelry demo and stamp. Hopefully it will lead to a workshop.
That is my toot for today. Have a great evening

Dawn, that lion is so cute I cannot STAND it. I also covet the Scallop punch. Haven't caved yet, but have purchased the Karen Foster mini snap stamps that the world is now using on SCS. Let's see, my Toot! Last night was the first meeting of my newest stamp club and I taught them the Big Buckle Card with the word window punch and they LOVED it, and with only 6 stampers it's a well over $200 workshop (haven't totalled it all yet!)

I just found your blog today--I love it! I love the Wild About You cards--so fun. My exciting thing is I made a big waterfall card last night that I just love and can't wait to send someone for Christmas!
Posted by: Jen--JJStamper | September 26, 2006 at 06:31 PM
Dawn, I definitely like the scalloped card better but both are cute. Yesterday Kelsey called to thank me for her card that I sent her. She had to know the details of how it was made. I've come along way since the beginning. I actually embossed her card than daubed (?) over it. It was soo cute. I also did my cards for the xmas swap. Can't wait to see everyones ideas. Looking forward to Fridays class. Laura
