OH my goodness is this enough Dazzling Diamonds for ya :) You all know I  really  Love  this stuff .

 OH my this card  sparkles like you  would not believe IRL ( In Real life ). oooo weeeeee LOVE IT!!

  I  will be  remaking the  Faux Ripped paper video , and this card  will  More than likely  the one we will be  making  for that, so stay  tuned for that video / updated version   .. Hi Stampers:

Last Night  Linda's  workshop was  so much fun I didn't want it to end  . What a fabulous bunch of  ladies.Plus My catalogs  came  early in the afternoon yesterday YAHOO!! ( Just in time )

 Here is just one of the  gifts I made for her . The other  gift I gave her  will be  featured in a  upcoming video ( stay tuned )

Here is  what  it looks like opened . It holds  a  small  piece of hersey chocolate  YUMMY!

This chocolate  holder measures  3 3/4" X 5 1/4"

scored at 2 5/8" & 2 7/8"

I used the  Eyelet border #113692  on the 2 5/8" side / shorter  side / front  flap.

 The Black card stock is cut at 2 3/4'" X 3 3/4"  and I also used the eyelet border on that as well .The Thanks a Bunch is  from the Hostess  Only  stamp set level 2 called " A little somethin".

To hold the chocolate candy   inside I used the  slit punch #104388

 I used the scallop  from the SU! Pennant  bigz die # 113483 in Black card stock . Then added  some Black GG ribbon #109027 to finish  the  chocolate holder .

Cheep Talk ...

Hi Stampers:

This little  birdie is sooo cute and fits perfectly inside the 1 1/4" circle punch . I used the Cheep Talk stamp set #113204 along with  the  Good Morning  sunshine# 113966  designer paper  which  Matches this stamp set perfectly .

I also used  the So Saffron#105118  Chocolate chip#102128 and  More Mustard#100946 Card  stock along with the Sale-a-bration  So Saffron Poly  twill ribbon  which you will get  both the So Saffron & Certainly  Celery poly  twill  ribbon  bundle  for FREE  during Sale-A-Bration  I also used  the white  gel pen # 105021 for  some doodle dots .

Tonight  is  Linda's Workshop~And I am stalking my  UPS guy Cause I have  a order coming today , I Pray my shipment  arrives this afternoon and not after I leave  this evening     since Linda Has 20 confirmed for  her workshop tonight & I need my  shipment  of catalogs . Gonna get everything packed  up,   Then I will get my serveillance  equipemet out  and  stake out the Big Brown truck  lol...

Dawns Sunday Share 2-22-09

Hi Stampers:

 Happy Sunday Everyone !

We are counting the days, We are  almost to the  single digits  for Hubby to  come home YAHOO!! 17 days to go :)

For todays card I used the  Petal Pizzazz # 113417  stamp set  the greeting  is from the stamp set  Hostess ONLY  level 3 stamp set called  Dream a little with Only Orange & Pixie Pink  classic ink with whisper white ,Pixie pink & black   Card stock . I added tiny  doodle  dots with my  black Marker &  glitter to my  flowers But  you may have  to click on photo to enlarge  the photo to see all that :)

Yesterday day was a very productive day for me stamping wise ..I  started planning my projects for  my  workshop  tomorrow  night  and  Got  this upcoming weeks  videos filmed  and ready to go .

I thought I would  share a quick tip with you today re:  the scallop box I made HERE  so many of you   emailed me  and  wanted to know what I meant  by punching  twice  so I thought I would  do a  quick  video tip  for you   on what I meant  by that .  

 I have been using Motion box  for my  videos lately   and  I have heard  some say the video skips /jumps &  pauses  while playing . I wanted you  to know I  will always add the  You tube link so you  can view the video  there as well .

 BUT  Today I have uploaded  a different way with Motion box   Please let me know if it plays  better  for you   and remember you can Click HERE  to view on You tube .

Dawns Side Note : You tube is doing maintance on their  site this morning  so  the  you tube link will not  work until  the maintance is finished .

Cherry Scallop box..

Hi Stampers :

Today project I got to use the new scallop  box  which is sooo adorable  and easy to make  with the  Big Shot #113439 and the  Bag w/Scallops  bigz die # 114519 I used the Speicalty designer paper called Rockabilly #114039 .

  I know  you  all have heard  what I think about this fabulous Designer paper  But I can't say it enough IT is AWESOME!!! 

I used  the  Tart & Tangy stamp set #111514 for my  closure  on my  box  with  some velcro . I used the word window punch#  for  the "Thanks a Bunch" (which is from the  stamp set called One smart cookie ## 111506.

I punched the  greeting out  the  1st time with the  word window punch  then  punched it  again  to make  smaller.

 The "Thinking of you" is from the  Wonderful watercolors  stamp set # #113688  ( I Love the font of this greeting.)

Gallery Birthday

Hi Stampers:

I really had so much  fun this pass Saturday  stamping this weeks  projects . I finally  got to use   the new stamp set Gallery ##113776  I  stamped Birthday  with the  Fundamental Phrases  stamp set #114968 .

  I used Basic Gray classic ink #109120 for the stamping  and the same color  card stock # 198692, with the Eyelet Border punch #113692 with a layer of Vellum card stock #101856  over top of the basic Gray card stock .

 Then added a strip of Basic Gray Taffeta  ribbon # 109064 over top of the vellum card stock  to finish off my  simple card  I added  2 of the new Clear Brads # 113144

and of course I didn't want to forget to add  some Dazzling diamonds glitter #102023  around the frame  which you  can see  alittle better in the 2nd photo .

Happy Sunday  everyone !

Todays Card I used the Wonderful Watercolors  stamp set  #113688 For my 2 step stamped flower I used  Summer  sun #100537 and  Always artichoke #105219 ink with Black  as the outside .

I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig # 101049 for  my image  which you can see that video on how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig HERE .This tool is seriously a MUST Have  in your stampin tool box

I used the To the Nines specialty paper # 114038 and the  Eyelet border punch #113692  &  for the final touch I added  some Chocolate Chip Taffeta  ribbon #109065  & The color spritzer tool#107066 ( You  can check out the 411  video on this fun tool HERE) 

Jessie  didnt have school on Friday  and  NO school tomorrow  either since  her school is having their winter break .

Friday  her and I went  out  shopping for a  gown for her Jr/Sr Banquet   which will be in April 4 hours later  and  No Dress  Not yet anyway she tried on  so many beautiful dresses  But  they either were  to short /to tight around the bust /or didn't  meet the  School standards .. 

 

I went  and got my hair  cut and colored with deep Red and Blonde highlights  on Thursday  because  Guess  who is coming home in less than 24 days  OH YEA!!!  My hubby will be home  in less than 24 days YAHOO!!  He will be home for 2 weeks again .

Yesterday I stamped  pretty much all day  and made  the videos for  this  up coming week .  Jessie   went to her Friend Kylee   16th Birthday party  / sleep over  Saturday  afternoon  and she  should be coming home sometime today .

Here is a Awesome  song . I have had so many of you  tell me  that you love this song also .. "I can only Imagine"  by Mercy me  so today this video is for You !!

 On a different  Note  My  Friend and Stampin Queen Laura W sent me this  funny  video  with Thoughts of my Mom  .  Dawns Side Note :My Mom seems  to keep everything from Money/keys  ect... in safe keeping  which was a Highlight of conversation on one of our past club meetings :) 

 I am sure it  will all make sense when you  watch  the video below What a Hoot ~ and just for the record  NO my mom is NOT this bad   .. The video below  will play 2 times  though ( same video)

Rubber Cement Technique

Hi Stampers:

 Today I will show  you how  to  do the rubber cement glue technique  for  fun backgrounds on your  cards  and other projects . I will be using 2 different  colors   for this techniuqe  which is  what I did on my sample card  today BUT  you  can use  as many  color inks as you would like.  Always  start  with the lightest color  1st, working  your  way to the darkest ink color.

Hummmmm...

Hi Stampers : 

 Well I am not  sure what happened this morning...  I did get a reply back from Type pad But  I will spare you  all the details .. I  was informed that  I should  switch  my  side bar  from the left side to the  right side  and well thats what I did  and now it seems  to be  doing great . 

It is alittle weird looking  at  my  side bar on the  right instead of the left Now.. Type pad  posted   that my  blog posts will upload 1st  when the  side bar is on the left WHO KNEW??  I am just glad  it seems  to be  loading  really  quick now .. Please let me know your thoughts .

Problems ... 2nd post today

Fifth Avenue Floral ....

Hi Stampers :

I have always loved  the looks  of pixie pink with Black.  When I started making this card I was  going to  do the crayon  resist technique   which you  can view that video  HERE  

( Dawns side note : The  crayon resist  video  was the very 1st video I made  and  I will do a  updated  version  of this technique  very soon )

But  for my  card today I ended up using my  white gel pen  to add the  accents  to my  flowers  petals ..  This  set Fifth Avenue  Floral # 113734  is sooo pretty .

Valentine mini envelope Card

Hi Stampers:

Here is another Mini envelope  card  to hold  money  inside .. 

I posted a video on  this type of card  around Christmas  time HERE But  thought I would make  a Valentine one.

Here is what it looks like opened.

I used the Love you much  stamp set # 113756 and the Heart to Heart punch # 113694 along  with the  Mini sq  envelopes # 107309 .

Here are Measurements  for  the pieces of my card today. Starting  from the bottom  moving upward  are:

Whisper white : 4 1/4" X 4 1/4"

Real red : 4" X 4"

Whisper white : 3 1/2 " X 3 1/2"

Real Red : 2 3/4" X 2 3/4"

Whisper  white : 2 1/2" X 2 1/2"

Special card ...

Hi Stampers :

Today  I thought I would post the card I made  for Ethans family yesterday .. Ethan use to go to school with Jessie  and   his Dad died  of  ALS / Lou Gehrig's disease.  He lived longer then  doctors  told him and his Family  he would .He Lived with  this disease  for  10 years .He was 55 years old  

I used  the  Thoughts & Prayers stamp set # 113252 along with the Sanded  Background  Stamp # 109294  I used the  Chocolate chip , Certainly Celery & Always Artichoke  Markers  for my  tree  and also the  Vintage brads #109109, Chocolate chip taffeta  ribbon # 109065 .

I  also used the Paper Piercing tool w/  Paper piercing template  and mat  found in the Crafters tool kit #104310

Dawns Sunday Share 2-8-09

Hi Stampers:

Today  is  a Great day  so Let us  rejoice  and be glad  in it !!

Today after  church we are  going to have a  little pizza luncheon  with my dearest friends  Looking forward  to our sweet time together we usually  always  go out  to lunch  But  today we are  staying at the  church and hanging out there together.

 Then  after that Jessie and I are heading  to  a friend of Jessies ( Ethan ) His dad died  this  week  and we are  going to  the showing  this afternoon .

 Last night  we had our  Stampers club meeting and Boy  what a Fun time we had .  The cards above  were made  for my Hostes Laura . 

Check out the video  highlights of our  get together  last night  HERE .  There were a total of 14 gals stamping last night .(We Missed you Kristen & Kelsey )

 

This past Thursday  I lost  heat in my home .. Yes I paid my  gas bill :) Hee! Hee!   I have been noticing  for awhile that my  furnace  has  not been kicking on  like it  should  ( I would make excuses  of  course )  and well Thursday  was  the day It didn't kick on  all day  and with the temps out  side  at -12 degrees  and  wind chill at -15  It really  should have been running alot of the  day ,

So when  Rich called  and I was sharing my  concern  and  he said Just call the service guy  I really knew I should have  done that  along time ago But it is  something that is very  reassuring  when  your hubby encourages  you  to call~  ya know   so I called  and the guy came out  that evening  and sure enough I had a censor  which was  dirty  a quick cleaning  and it is  up and running perfectly Praise GOD!!

Valentine Shadow Box

 I have  a  extra treat for you  today .. I was contacted by Fave Crafts web site HERE & was asked If  I would make a  Special Valentines day video  for their Blog 

  Here is the card  I  did the video on ..

Yes it's  another shadow box card  But this one  has a slight twist .. I used  punches for the peek a boo.

I used the Owl Together Now stamp set # 111534   and the Holiday wishes  stamp set #114984  with the Full Heart Punch # 113693 , 1" circle punch # 109046 , 1 1/4 circle punch # 104403  and the Heart to Heart punch # 113694

Simple Valentine treat ..

Hi Stampers:

 I have a Valentine treat for you today. This has  got to be the easiest  card /treat holder I have made  in awhile .

I used the Top note #113463  Bigz  die and  the Texturz plate #114512 backgrounds 1  with the tiny polka dots plate  .

  I tried to take  another view of this card But all the white in the photo seems  to reflect, But I  did notice  if you  don't look  to close at the  2nd photo  the tiny  polka dots jump out at you  alittle better . I also used the really  cute Sale-a-Bration stamp set  called Yummy #113782

Here is how I made the Top note die card

I cut  a piece  Whisper white at 4 1/4" X 11" scored  at 5 1/2 " folded  card  and laid  the  folded  card on top of the top note  die  Just a little tiny bit  below  the top note  die cut line  sent through the big  shot TA DA a top note  card  So easy and  cute ..

For  the  front of my card I  used my paper piercer  tool and  punched 2 tiny holes on either side of my  sucker  and  added the  Red Gingham Ribbon #104827 to hold  in place .

Here is another card I made using Sale-a-bration goodies . I used the  Congrates #113770 stamp set # 113770 along with the  Polka Dot punches #113788  stamp set.

Love how Polka dot punches stamp set  goes with so many of our fabulous punches .. I used the 5 petal flower  punch #109041   and the  Scallop circle  punch #109043 with  the 2 of the images in this SAB stamp set .

Look  closely cause  I  also used the Brand new Organza ribbon #114319 on my card as well .. This   new ribnbon is  sooo fabulous  and Love the  way it looks so delicate  and soft .

 I also used the  Specialty  designer paper  Parisian Breeze #113993   and  used the new  Eyelet Border punch #113692

The  Congraulations and  flowers  was stamped with   Whisper White craft ink #101731 Then  I added  some Vintage brads # 109109  along the  bottom  and in the centers of my  flowers .

  Color card stock I used  is Chocolate chip # 102128 and Kraft #107070.

Oh my  goodness today is the BIG day when Sale-a-Bration starts ..

 Update on my Mom's Wrist ..

She has been in  PT now for over 2 weeks  and  doing  good  still finds it hard  to  turn  things  like door knobs , turn the  key to start her truck , Plus she is feeling  pickeys ( thats what she calls it )  in her  wrist NOT all the time But  every once in awhile and always in the same place  ... 

The  PT  lady says thats her nerves  that were cut  when her surgery was done .  so needless to say  Its   going to be  journey for my Moms  wrist  to get  back to "normal "   But we are confident  that  she is on the right  road.  Her PT is getting harder,  But that's always a good sign .. 

Here is a Awesome video for you  today sang by Carrie  Underwood ( Remember her  winning American idol ?) called "How Great thou Art".  I love this song   and  Love Carrie singing  it ( gives me goose  bumps every time I hear her  sing this  song ) .   I love this song  because  it mentions  the Creation , The birth and death of Jesus Christ and  His  return one day . OH what a Marvelous Day that will be ... This  song sang by Carrie is AMAZING!! I  hope it Blesses you as much as it does me each time I hear it .
